FACULTY APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION, AND TENURE. 12.1. APPOINTMENT Appointments to the College of Law full-time faculty are of five kinds: tenure-track, tenured, clinical, legal writing, and visiting. All appointments to the full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty shall be made in compliance with the procedures set forth in this Agreement unless the parties expressly agree otherwise. The nature of the initial appointment of the faculty member, and any special conditions thereof, shall be specified at the time the appointment is made. Final approval for all decisions on appointment rests with the Board of Trustees.

FACULTY APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION, AND TENURE. Faculty members are appointed by and hold tenure, when earned, in a department of the Joint College through one of the two participating universities. Faculty appointed at either university must meet uniform Joint College promotion and tenure standards. Upon the recommendation of the elected J o i n t College Promotion and Tenure Committee, the Xxxx shall make promotion and tenure recommendations to the respective universities in accord with their applicable regulations and procedures. These regulations and procedures shall be consistent, insofar as possible, with existing university regulations and procedures, and with collective bargaining agreements. Faculty members employed by one university are automatically de signated "Joint College" faculty thereby being considered a faculty member of both universities for purposes of carrying on the teaching, research and service responsibilities of the Joint College and have, except tenure, faculty privileges at both universities.

  • Faculty Appointments 5.4.1 On successful completion of the probationary period (unless 6.4 applies), a faculty employee shall be offered a faculty appointment. A faculty appointment means that the appointment shall be continued unless there are exceptional circumstances as specified in 8.4.1 or 6.4.

  • Non-Promotive Appointment 254. An employee or officer who is a permanent appointee following completion of the probationary period or 2,080 hours of permanent service, and who accepts a non-promotive appointment in a classification having the same salary grade, or a lower salary grade, the appointee shall enter the new position at that salary step which is the same as that received in the prior appointment, or if the salary steps do not match, then the salary step which is immediately in excess of that received in the prior appointment, provided that such salary shall not exceed the maximum of the salary grade. Further increments shall be based upon the seniority increment anniversary date in the prior appointment.

  • Appointment and Termination of Appointment Issuer may at any time appoint additional or alternative agents to provide the service(s) to be provided by the Global Agent hereunder. Issuer may terminate the appointment of the Global Agent or any part of such agency or any other agent by giving to the Global Agent or that agent at least 30 calendar days' written notice to that effect. Issuer may replace the Global Agent in any of its roles hereunder and appoint one or more other authenticating agents, paying agents, transfer agents, registrar or calculation agents for any issuance of the Notes as Issuer may determine; provided, however, that until all of the Notes have been delivered to the Global Agent for cancellation and destruction, or monies sufficient to pay the principal and interest, if any, on such Notes have been made available for payment and either paid or returned to Issuer as provided herein, Issuer will at all times maintain a paying agent; and, if and for so long as any Notes are listed on any stock exchange, Issuer shall maintain a paying agent for such Notes at any location such stock exchange may require.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave, provided the minimum time charged is not less than one-half (1/2) hour. Each absence shall be reported separately and authorized in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor.

  • Hiring and Appointments Section 4.1 as specifically established in Subsections 4.2(A), (E) and (F) applies to part-time hourly appointees.

  • Regular Appointment The authorized appointment of an individual to a position covered by Civil Service.

  • Emergency Appointments Absence from work to attend emergency medical or dental appointments and medical appointments arising from a work related accident covered by Workers' Compensation, shall be paid for from the employee's accumulated sick leave.

  • SECTION 2 - APPOINTMENT 2.1 Employee is appointed as a technical officer currently assigned as the Executive Assistant effective August 4, 2020, on the terms and conditions set out in the Agreement.

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.

  • Term Appointments 16.3.4.1 A Term appointment carries no implication of renewal or continuation beyond the contractually limited term. A person holding a Term appointment may apply for a Probationary or Continuing appointment if such a position is available.
