FACULTY ADVISORY COMMITTEE. A. The Faculty Advisory Committee shall have a membership of not less than five or more than eleven employees elected by the employees at each school. Education Support Professionals may be included on the committee by a vote of the faculty. The Faculty Advisory Committee shall be elected by secret ballot election, conducted by the site Association representative within the first six weeks of the school year. In the absence of a site Association representative, CTA shall assist in selecting a teacher on that school’s staff to conduct the election. A list of the members of the Faculty Advisory Committee of each school shall be sent to the Association and the administrator. The administrator shall meet with the Faculty Advisory Committee within three weeks of a request.

FACULTY ADVISORY COMMITTEE. A Faculty Advisory Committee composed of teachers shall be established in each school.
FACULTY ADVISORY COMMITTEE. A. A Faculty Advisory Committee shall be established consisting of two (2) teachers from each building appointed by the Association to advise the Superintendent and the Board on matters of concern to teachers. Principals shall be invited to attend these meetings. The committee shall meet with the Superintendent and at least one Board member at least three (3) times per year or more often at the request of the Association, the Superintendent, or the Board, but in no case more than ten (10) times per year, unless by mutual agreement. The first meeting shall occur by October 31, the second by January 31, and the third by April 30. Responsibility for setting up these meetings rests with the Association.

In each instance the faculty advisory committee shall be established by the President. Members of the committee shall be recommended by the Faculty Senate. In each instance, the faculty advisory committee shall provide recommendations regarding program viability based on pre-determined viability standards and within the time limits established by the Board. It is specifically agreed that the faculty advisory committee recommendation shall be advisory only and that any final decisions regarding the necessity of reduction in force shall be reserved to the College administration and Board.

FAC members shall consist of certified staff and be elected by certified staff in each school before the first student day of the school year. FAC members shall be representative of grade levels, departments and/or specialty areas as appropriate to the school. The newly elected FAC members shall meet as soon as possible after the election to select a chairperson and secretary.
