Extra Help Employee. An employee who performs Bargaining Unit work that is temporary in nature as a result of emergency, peak workloads, or substitution for other employees not exceeding seven (7) continuous months. Extra Help employees will be paid the respective wage scale of the classification worked as established pursuant to ARTICLE 19 (Wages) and APPENDIX A (Salary Schedules) of the Agreement, plus any overtime provided for under ARTICLE 25 (Overtime) of the Agreement and any shift differential provided for under ARTICLE 24.B (shift differential) of the Agreement. No additional wages, pay, or benefits established for employees under this Agreement will be due to Extra Help employees except as provided for by statute.

Extra Help Employee. Extra help employee means any employee who is employed for a period of short duration, whether part-time or full-time, in a position which either is designated as extra help in the annual salary ordinance or is not contained therein.
Extra Help Employee. The hours of work per week for extra help employees shall be established by the Power Systems Manager or the General Manager.

  • Term Employee Term employee means a new person employed without seniority for a specific time period or until the completion of a particular project in compliance with funding provided for that position or project. At the expiry of said term the employment of such employee shall be terminated unless the term employee is immediately hired as a full-time or part-time employee at which time the term employee's original starting date shall be utilized to establish their seniority.

  • Deceased Employees The employer may approve a cash payment equivalent to the two lots of two weeks' salary to the widow, widower or if no surviving spouse exists, to dependent child(ren) or to the estate, of a deceased employee who had qualified for long service leave but who had neither taken nor forfeited it under these rules. This payment will be in addition to any grant made under the Retirement Gratuity Provisions specified in this Agreement.

  • Casual Employee Casual employee means a part-time employee who is not normally scheduled to work but who may be called in to work to provide coverage as required.
