For the purpose of this Article, the rate of pay for those performing these responsibilities shall be in effect from the beginning of the current school year to the beginning of the succeeding school year.

Extra Duty Salary Schedule. 1. Index Extra Duty Salary Schedules can be found on pages 49-54. The base of the Extra Duty Salary Schedule shall be at the Bachelor, zero step on the adopted teachers salary schedule. If there are not enough students participating in the extra duty activities, the Board and the Association will meet to discuss why some positions may not be filled for that particular season or year. At least sixty-five (65) days in Extended Service contracts may be made available each school year. A maximum of twenty-five (25) in length granted to an employee upon submission of a proposal to the Superintendent. This proposal must indicate the need for extended service time, as well as the benefits to the District. Applications must be submitted to the Superintendent by May 1 of the preceding school year. In unusual circumstances, additional days may be requested at least sixty (60) days prior to the proposed start of service dates. Upon review and approval of the Superintendent, these extended days will be completed outside of the regularly scheduled work year. If the Superintendent denies the extended time, he/she shall give written reasons for the denial. The District has the option not to grant all sixty- five (65) days if the Superintendent does not approve the proposal(s) and/or less than sixty-five (65) days are requested.

When the need for new positions on the extra duty salary schedule arises, the administrative staff shall consult with the unit members of the teaching staff in the area involved to determine responsibilities and time involved in the position. After such consultation, the Superintendent shall place the position within the category. No position shall be changed within the categories unless the administrative staff develops a new job description showing changes in responsibilities and time. Any unit member under contract for extra duty may request, in writing, a conference with the Superintendent or designee to review his/her category placement. A review conference will be held within ten (10) working days after the written request and supportive rationale for the change has been received. The Superintendent or designee shall provide the unit member in writing his/her decision within ten (10) working days of the conference. Unit members transferring to Northmont shall be credited all the applicable extra duty experience held in the other school district up to a maximum step on Northmont's schedule. Northmont unit members changing duty position, but remaining within the same area, shall not lose experience credit. A copy of the job description for the position involved shall be given to the teacher at the time an extra duty contract is offered and accepted. Each head coach/activity sponsor may be asked to submit an activity report at the close of the season to the Building Principal. This activity report shall be on the appropriate district form and will include in part: number of students participating, games played and results, number and types of injuries, an inventory of supplies and equipment, and recommendations for the upcoming season. The Building Principal or immediate supervisor will assist each activity program in regard to retention or expansion. Extra Duty Salary Schedule. 16,17 SCHOOL DISTRICT OF AURORA DISTRICT 4R OF HAMILTON COUNTY, NEBRASKA 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT ARTICLE I -- NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT This agreement is made and entered into by and between the Aurora Education Association and the Aurora Board of Education for the School District of Aurora, District 4R of Hamilton County, Nebraska.
Extra Duty Salary Schedule. The rate of pay for extra duties beyond the regular day for such things as club supervision, school patrol, coaching, breakfast and lunch supervision, or directing intramurals, shall be at a rate of: Rate of Pay 2017-2018 2018-2019 2019-2020 $33.00 $33.00 $34.00 At the beginning of the school year, the Superintendent shall establish the number of hours to be worked for each activity. Persons accepting such assignment will be limited to the hours defined for each particular activity unless the hours are extended and approved by the Superintendent. Teachers may request the Superintendent to consider authorizing additional hours when unforeseen circumstances warrant such an extension. Reimbursement shall be made twice during the school year, the second pay period in December and the second pay period in June. Once an assignment is made and a minimum number of hours determined, the teacher accepting the assignment will be paid even if the activity is terminated by the administration during that school year. For any other activity, teachers will be reimbursed in the second pay period after the work is completed. For teachers being paid under the 21st Century Program, the teachers will be paid for hours completed by the second pay period in December and the second pay period in June. All teachers shall be paid on the salary schedule. Additional hours beyond the regular school day and days worked beyond the official school year, shall be paid according to Appendix C. Persons with extra duty assignments will report absences or inability to complete their assignment and will not be paid for hours so missed. In the event the District agrees to enter into partnerships with community based organizations/agencies, including but not limited to Xxxxxxxx Township, who wish to sponsor extra curricular activities, the District will negotiate with the CTA so that the mandates of PNA Article 5.12 and Appendix C are fully met. In the event the outside organization/agency cannot meet the contractual rate mandated in Appendix C, the District will make up the monetary difference. CTA members will be given first choice of any position proposed by the outside agency/organization. All other applicable PNA provisions will be enforced as they relate to extra curricular duties, postings, and pay dates.
Extra Duty Salary Schedule. A. The extra duty salary is computed by multiplying the percentage listed for an activity times the step on the BA Salary Schedule (Column A) corresponding to years of experience in that particular activity, giving one full step credit for each two (2) years of experience, to a maximum of ten (10) years or to Step 6 on the BA Salary Schedule (Column A).
