Extension of Paid Parental Leave to the Family Unit. If primary care responsibilities are shared between two parents (one a YWCA employee and the other not a YWCA employee) during the first twelve months after birth or adoption, eligible employees will be entitled to up to 14 weeks paid parental leave which will be extended to the family unit. This applies to a family unit where both parents are working and the non-YWCA employee has accessed their full entitlement from their respective employer and this full entitlement is less than the eligible YWCA employee’s entitlement of paid parental leave.
