Common use of Extension of Initial Contract Period Clause in Contracts

Extension of Initial Contract Period. Subject to clause C4 (Price adjustment on extension of the Initial Contract Period), and only where and to the extent that provision for such extension has been explicitly retained in the relevant contract notice or advertisement and invitation to tender documentation, the Client may, by giving written notice to the Contractor not less than One Month(s) prior to the last day of the Initial Contract Period, extend the Contract for a further period. Any such period shall not exceed the maximum extension period provided for in the relevant contract notice or advertisement and invitation to tender documentation. The provisions of the Contract will apply (subject to any Variation or adjustment to the Contract Price pursuant to clause C4 (Price adjustment on extension of the Initial Contract Period)) throughout any such extended period.
