Extended Year. 11.8.1 Regular Shasta County Office of Education employees may use Bereavement Leave, Sick Leave and Personal Necessity Leave during the extended session ONLY AFTER they have worked at least one full day of the extended year session. A "full-day" includes any days and hours assigned prior to the start of the extended session.

Extended Year. Teachers required to work additional days beyond the normal work year for the purpose of test scoring or training shall be compensated at 1/200th of his or her annual base salary (including graduate hours) divided by seven (7) and paid in prorated segments of fifteen (15) minutes fully completed. Teachers will not be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. When such work does occur, it will be paid at the same rate as above.

Further, an additional per diem day on a timesheet or two substitute days for inventory may be approved in consultation with the principal Secondary Teacher Librarian Middle School teacher librarians have the option each year of flexing four (4) days, and High School teacher librarians have the option of flexing five (5) days before or after the school year for checking out textbooks, checking in text books and assessing fines, overseeing the textbook repair policy, inputting student data into library automation software and enabling all students access to the school computer system.
