Extended Tour. All extended tour of duty provisions of the contract would commence at the completion of the 12-hour shift.
Extended Tour. All extended tours of duty provisions of the Collective Agreement would commence at the completion of the ten (10) hour shift, in accordance with Article 6.9 of the Collective Agreement.
Extended Tour. L-l The purpose of this Article is to vary certain terms of the full-time Collective Agreement for the implementation and discontinuation of an extended tour schedule. With the exception of a specific variation set forth in this Article, all other conditions and terms of the Collective Agreement shall remain in force and in effect. The extended tour will be introduced in any unit in the following manner: The eligible staff must indicate by a majority (determined by secret ballot) their willingness to try the extended tour. Failure to achieve the above majority will result in the matter being reviewed. If it is voted to implement the extended tour, it will be discussed at the Hospital-Association Committee for further Page Eight consideration by Management. Nurses not supporting the program may, in accordance with the Collective Agreement, apply to positions as they become available. The extended tour schedule will be implemented on a trial basis for three months with the option of a three month extension. The decision as to whether or not to continue the extended tour schedule after the initial period will be based on the results of an evaluation. Tour Schedules A nurse shall not be required to work more than three consecutive days without days off except by mutual written consent. If a nurse is required to work more than three days without written consent the hospital will pay to the nurse premium payment in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement, for every consecutive day worked after the day. At least one weekend off in two shall be scheduled and more frequently where possible. A nurse will receive premium payment, in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement, for all hours worked on the consecutive and subsequent weekend save and except where: such weekend has been worked by the nurse to satisfy specific days off requested by such nurse, or such nurse has requested weekend work, or such weekend is worked as the result of an exchange of shifts with another nurse. Extended Tour. (a) Introduction and discontinuation of a compressed work week (extended tour).
Extended Tour. (a) This article shall apply to nurses working extended tours. Each unit must have sixty percent (60%) agreement of the full-time and regular part- time who work the unit. Excluded from this provision to apply for Extended Tours is the Extended Care Unit until such time as legislation permits. The Extended Tour as provided for Article may be cancelled by either party on giving ten (10) calendar weeks notice to the other writing of its desire to according to the terms listed below. A meeting shall be held within two (2) weeks of receipt of such notice to discuss the reasons for the cancellation. A compressed work week may be discontinued in any unit when: sixty percent (60%) of the full-time and regular part-time nurses in the unit so indicate by secret ballot: or the Employer because of:
Extended Tour. Extended tours w i l l be introduced on any unit on a trial basis for six (6) months when sixty-seven percent (67%) of the nurses in the unit so indicate by secret ballot and the Hospital is able to provide a workable schedule,
Extended Tour. Where nurses work a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly.
Extended Tour. At least every second weekend off for a minimum of four days off; nurses will not be required to work more than four consecutive twelve hour tours. The above scheduling not apply from December to January However a nurse will be scheduled off for at least two days if they have completed a block of more than two extended night tours during this period. The introduction of extended tours will be implemented at six month intervals where eighty percent of the nurses involved so request. Thereafter, discontinuance of extended tours will be implemented at subsequent six month intervals, where eighty percent of the nurses involved so request. Request for changes in posted time schedules must be submitted in writing and co-signed by a nurse willing to exchange days off or tours. A request book will be used on all units. A nurse will receive premium payment in accordance with Article for all hours worked on a third and subsequent consecutive weekend save and except where: Such weekend has been worked by the nurse to satisfy specific days off requested by such nurse; or

This article shall apply to nurses working the extended tours i n the following areas: Emergency Room Case Room The Extended Tour, as provided for i n A r t i c l e may be cancelled by either party on giving ten calendar weeks' notice to the other i n writing of its desire to terminate.
Extended Tour. The Employer will endeavour to maintain and achieve the following objectives in the formation of extended working schedules, A longer daily tour (extended tour) shall be introduced into any unit when: Eighty percent of the nurses in the unit so indicate by secret ballot and The Employer agrees to implement the extended tours, such agreement shall not be withheld in an unreasonable arbitrary manner. Subsequent to the initial vote, a trial period of at least sixteen consecutive weeks will take place. All nurses on the unit must work the extended tour schedule during the trial period and thereafter, except for nurses on the staff of the unit on the day the vote is taken. These nurses may continue to work the seven and half hour tour. Subsequent to the trial period, a second vote will be taken and must meet the requirements of (a) above) in order to continue the extended tour schedule.
