Extended notice period in certain cases. If a salaried employee, who has been terminated because of redundancy, has reached the age of 55 on the day of the notice of termination and at that time has been consecutively employed for at least 10 years, the notice period shall be extended by six months. Such an extension of the notice period shall however not apply beyond the 65th birthday.

Extended notice period in certain cases. If a salaried employee whose employment has been terminated due to a shortage of work has at the date of termination reached the age of 55 and also has ten years’ uninterrupted service, the notice period shall be extended by six months. This provision does not apply to salaried employees who have reached the age of 65.
