Common use of Express Agreement Clause in Contracts

Express Agreement. The provisions of this Lease, including those contained in this Article 12, constitute an express agreement between Landlord and Tenant that applies in the event of any Casualty to the Premises, Building or Real Property. Tenant, therefore, fully waives the provisions of any statute or regulations, including California Civil Code Sections 1932(2) and 1933(4), and any other law or statute which purports to govern the rights or obligations of Landlord and Tenant concerning a Casualty in the absence of express agreement. Tenant and Landlord expressly agree and accept that any successor or other law of like import shall have no application hereunder.
