Exposure to Contagious Diseases. Whenever an employee is compelled by direction of a County-designated physician to be absent from duty due to an on-the-job exposure to a contagious disease, the employee shall receive full compensation for a period not to exceed eighty (80) working hours for a full-time employee or fourteen (14) calendar days for a part-time employee. If the absence extends beyond the applicable period, healthcare leave, compensatory time, annual leave and/or vacation may be used, at the employee's option, in that order.

Exposure to Contagious Diseases. The Employer agrees to pay expenses for inoculation or immunization shots at a medical facility designated by the Sheriff for the employee and for members of an employee’s family when such becomes necessary as a result of said employee’s exposure to contagious diseases where said officer has been exposed to said disease in the line of duty.
