Export Licenses Clause Examples
The Export Licenses clause establishes the requirement for parties to obtain and maintain all necessary export licenses, permits, or approvals needed to legally transfer goods, technology, or services across international borders. In practice, this means that before shipping products or sharing technical information, the responsible party must ensure compliance with applicable export control laws and regulations, such as those imposed by the U.S. Department of Commerce or similar authorities in other countries. This clause is essential for preventing illegal exports, avoiding penalties, and ensuring that both parties understand their obligations regarding international trade compliance.
