Expiration of Leave. Except as otherwise provided in this Article, twenty (20) days before the expiration of a leave for ninety (90) days or more, or five (5) days before expiration of a leave for twenty (20) days but less than ninety (90) days, the employee should make every effort to notify the Personnel Office of his/her intention to return, or request an extension of leave, if eligible. Unless such notice is given, failure to return to work upon expiration of the leave may be considered resignation from service.
Expiration of Leave. An educational leave will expire thirty (30) days after the last approved academic term ends unless extended by the Department Head.

Two calendar months before the expiration of a leave for one semester or more, and upon reasonable notice from the District, the employee must notify the Human Resources Division of an intention to return, or request an extension of leave, if eligible. Failure by the employees to give such notice, or to report to duty as directed after having given such notice, shall be considered abandonment of position and resignation from service; an exception shall be made if it was impossible for the employee to give the required notice.
Expiration of Leave. At the conclusion of POA President’s Leave, the POA President shall be returned to duties associated with his/her job classification with no guarantee to any previously held specialty assignments or premium pay.

Expiration of Leave. At the expiration of the specified period of leave an employee terminates his/her affiliation with the Board of Education if he/she at that time declines a position which has been offered him/her. The employee returning from leave must notify the Superintendent of their intent to return prior to March 1.
Expiration of Leave. Upon expiration of a leave of absence, an employee shall be returned to his/her position, if in existence, or if not, to a comparable position. Return to a position shall be subject to the operation of the assignment procedures of this Agreement. Seniority shall resume accumulation from the date the leave commenced without credit for the time spent on leave of absence. The Employer may require a statement from a physician verifying the employee’s fitness to return to work.
Expiration of Leave. At the expiration of the specified period of leave a member terminates his/her employment with the Board if he/she, at that time, declines a position that is offered in accordance with the provisions of this Contract, when the position is a position for which the member holds certification granted by the State Department of Education, and such position requires the performance of bargaining unit work. The Board, or its agents, may by written request ask a member to give written indication of his/her intent (if known) regarding continued employment with the Board at the expiration of the leave of absence period. Said request may be made and if made would occur prior to June 15 when the leave period corresponds to the school year. When the leave does not correspond to the school year such request may be made and if made will occur prior to sixty (60) days previous to the expiration date of the leave. The member’s response may indicate an intention to return, an intention to return if possible, an intention to apply for additional leave, or an intention to resign. If no response is received within fourteen (14) days of the request, the Board has the right to assume that the member will be returning at the expiration of the leave.
Expiration of Leave. The applicant shall give written notice to the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee by April 1st of the year the leave expires of his/her intention to return, resign, or request a renewal of such leave. The following procedures shall be implemented by the District in connection with approved leaves of absence covered under this article:
