Experienced Teachers. New to the School, but Not New to the District In the event funds are available, Experienced Teachers: New to the School, but Not New to the District will be supported, as possible, using a tiered approach determined by the WCSD Equity Rubric whereby teachers at the schools with the greatest needs as evidenced by data receive mentoring support leading to the support of as many teachers/schools as possible as funding permits. ✓ Mentors will receive $100.00 for each Teachers New to the School they support. ✓ Mentors will support no more than 7 Teachers New to the School. ✓ New teachers entering the school after January 31st will join the following year’s cohort. ✓ Participation in the program shall be up to the experienced teacher, new to the school but not new to the district. Mentor Selection Mentors are selected by the School Principal based on the needs of the New Teacher and in consultation with the Coordinator of Instructional Support. Teachers interested in serving as teacher mentors may notify their principals. All Mentors must be professionally certified classroom teachers with three or more years of experience in WCSD, completed specialized training in clinical supervision and participated in ongoing mentor training provided through the coordinated system of professional development under s. 1012.98(3)(e), and one or more of the following teacher leadership experiences: • Grade Level / Department Chair • Professional Learning Community Facilitator • Professional Learning Facilitator • Instructional CoachSchool Improvement Chair • Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers 2 (ECET2) • Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) In the event that an insufficient number of teacher mentors exist at a worksite, the principal may choose teachers to serve as mentors, also according to the above qualification. However, mentors will be given a week to decide whether they want to serve as mentor and the option to refuse to serve. Mentors cannot support more than one category. Mentors who support any Category 1 teachers will be able to mentor a total of 3 Category 1 teachers only. Experienced Teachers. Experienced teachers entering Xxxxx Vocational & Agricultural High School may be allowed full credit for previous teaching experience up to five (5) years. Teaching experience beyond the five years acquired in other school systems will be evaluated by the Superintendent/Director.

Related to Experienced Teachers

  • Tenured Teachers Tenured teachers will receive formal evaluation conferences at least by the end of their fifth year in Harford County and at the minimum rate of once every five (5) years thereafter. All observations of a classroom performance shall be conducted openly.

  • Retired Teachers The BOARD may employ and assign retired teachers as day-to-day substi- tutes for no more than one hundred school days during the school year and shall pay such teachers the rate paid to day-to-day substitutes. The BOARD shall compensate such retired teachers in accor- dance with Appendix A-1L. Such retired teachers shall not be eligible for any other benefits provided to bargaining unit employees under this Agreement. The BOARD agrees that the employment and as- signment of retired teachers shall not result in the displacement of any appointed or assigned teacher.

  • Supervisory Employees For the purposes of this Article, the parties agree that Supervisory positions are those that are not excluded under Article 2.0 above and that satisfy the following criteria:

  • New Member Orientation The Employer will notify the Union of any newly represented temporary employees. The Union will be given the opportunity to have a Union representative speak with the newly represented temporary employees for not more than thirty (30) minutes to provide information about the Union and this Agreement.

  • Non-Tenured Teachers A leave may be granted to a non-tenured teacher by action of the Board of Education, subject to all the conditions applicable to a tenured teacher. However, for a school term to count toward the attainment of tenure, the non-tenured teacher must work at least one hundred twenty (120) full time employment days. A school term that is not counted toward attainment of tenure shall not be considered a break in service for purposes of determining whether the non- tenured teacher has been employed for the period of time necessary to attain tenure, provided that the non-tenured teacher actually teaches or is otherwise present and participating in District 34’s educational program in the following school term. The granting of maternity leave to any non-tenured teacher shall not constitute a precedent for the granting or withholding of leave to any other non-tenured teacher. Each request shall be judged on its own merits and shall be within the sole discretion of the Board. Additional conditions or restrictions may be established for any such leave, provided nothing herein shall be construed as requiring any non-tenured teacher to apply for such leave or accept the conditions established therefore.

  • Qualified Personnel Contractor shall utilize only competent personnel under the supervision of, and in the employment of, Contractor (or Contractor’s authorized subcontractors) to perform the Services. Contractor will comply with City’s reasonable requests regarding assignment and/or removal of personnel, but all personnel, including those assigned at City’s request, must be supervised by Contractor. Contractor shall commit adequate resources to allow timely completion within the project schedule specified in this Agreement.
