Expenses for Mileage a) An employee who has received authorization to use a privately owned vehicle for County business shall be reimbursed at the current IRS rate for each mile driven on County business during the month.

Expenses for Mileage. An employee who has received authorization to use a privately-owned vehicle for County business shall be reimbursed at the IRS rate for each mile driven on County business during the month. Pursuant to Personnel Rule Section 12.10(2b), a Certificate of Insurance is required to be on file for the Vehicle Allowance and for mileage reimbursement. The County shall pay deductible expenses to a maximum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) when employees, using their own vehicles, are involved in an accident on County business. This provision shall not apply, however, in cases where the accident was caused by the gross negligence of the employee. All claims for mileage reimbursement must be submitted within ninety (90) days of incurring the mileage expense. Once the auto policy has been agreed to by the parties, it will be added to the County Personnel Rules.

  • Interview Expenses An in-service applicant for a posted position who is not on leave of absence without pay and who has been called for a panel interview shall be granted leave of absence with base pay and shall have their authorized expenses paid. An employee granted leave under this section shall notify their supervisor as soon as they are notified of their requirement to appear for an interview.
