Expedition of Grievances. If the PEA and the Superintendent agree, Step 2 and/or Step 3 of the Grievance Procedure may be by-passed and the grievance brought directly to the next step. Class grievances involving more than one supervisor and grievances involving an administrator above the immediate supervisory level may be filed by the PEA at Step 3.
Expedition of Grievances. The Union shall have the right to present grievances of a general nature at Step 2 (University level) or at Step 3 (Board level). A grievance of any nature may be entertained in or advanced to any step in the grievance procedure if the parties mutually agree to do so in writing.

A grievance may be submitted initially at Step 3 in a case where the grievance involves more than one immediate supervisor; where the immediate supervisor is without authority to grant the relief sought, provided the Superintendent may remand the grievance if the immediate supervisor does hold such authority; or where the grievance arises from the action or inaction of an administrator above the level of immediate supervisor.

If the SLCTA and the Superintendent agree, Step 1, and /or Step 2, and/or Step 3 of the grievance procedure may be by-passed and the grievance brought directly to the next step. Class grievances involving more than one immediate supervisor, and grievances involving an administrator above the building principal level may be filed by the SLCTA at Step 3.
Expedition of Grievances. The City will cooperate with the Union to expedite the grievance procedure to the maximum extent practical.
