Executive Leave. The Employer shall authorize a leave of absence with pay for one (1) employee who is a member of the Association for a two-year period beginning four (4) weeks after written notice by the Association to the Bureau of Employee Relations and said employee’s agency. During such leave of absence with pay, the employee shall continue to receive and retain all of that employee’s wages, rights, benefits, and seniority as a state employee except that all leave accumulation shall be frozen for the duration of the leave of absence. Upon returning from the leave of absence, the employee shall resume earning leave at the rates appropriate to that employee’s service at the time of return. The Employer agrees that there shall be no action taken with respect to the employee or the employee’s state position prior to or following that employee’s return from the leave of absence because of that employee’s legal union activities. The Association agrees to reimburse the Employer for the full cost of the wages and benefits for the employee, and to indemnify the Employer against any and all liabilities associated with the leave of absence, including but not limited to workers' compensation.

Executive Leave. A. Eligible full-time employees shall receive thirty-two (32) hours of paid executive leave annually. Eligible part-time employees shall receive executive leave proportionate to their part-time status annually. For example, a 75% employee shall receive 75% of thirty-two hours, or twenty-four (24) hours annually.
Executive Leave. The University shall grant a leave of absence with pay for one (1) member of the Local executive who must be the President or the Grievance Officer, in order that they may conduct business on behalf of the Local Union. During such leave the employee will report their time, including vacation and sick leave, to Staff Relations for payroll purposes. If during the leave period, the employee’s regular full-time position is declared redundant, the employee will be notified and may elect to invoke their rights under Article 12.

Employees in the Executive Management bargaining unit (EM) are required to work the days and hours necessary to perform the job duties of their position and shall schedule their time accordingly. EM employees shall receive five days of paid executive leave per year. Up to five (5) days of unused executive leave may be carried over into subsequent years. Executive leave may only be taken in paid time off and cannot be "cashed out.” Employees who are appointed to a position in the M or MSA units from a position in the EM unit may not transfer unused executive leave to the new position.

Executive Leave. 29.1 Employees will receive forty (40) hours of executive leave per payroll calendar year with supervisor approval. Forty (40) additional hours may be available, upon City Attorney approval, for recognition of outstanding performance as part of the Management Performance Program. Executive leave that is not used by the end of the payroll calendar year does not accrue or carry over to the following year.
Executive Leave. Executive leave is a benefit provided in recognition of the hours in excess of forty (40) hours per week, which may be necessary but are not directly compensated on an hourly basis. Executive leave is awarded as hours/days off, up to a maximum of forty (40) hours/five (5) days during a payroll calendar year. Executive Leave is not an accrued benefit and unused leave does not carry over from year to year. The Management Performance Program (MPP) provides that the Department Director or designee may approve up to forty (40) additional hours of executive leave for employees who receive a performance appraisal of commendable or outstanding. When an employee is hired into a position eligible for executive leave, the leave may be prorated during the first year dependent upon the hire date. Please refer to City Policy Manual Section 4.2.4 for the complete policy.
Executive Leave. As provided in Personnel Rule 3.7.5 (“Occasional Absences of Less than Four Hours”), employees in positions that are eligible for executive and merit leave shall fulfill their professional responsibilities with no expectation of overtime compensation. The appointing authority shall allow them discretion in structuring their workday to ensure that they can fulfill those responsibilities. Eligible salaried employees shall not be required to use their paid leave balances for occasional absences of four hours or less during a work day, and shall be paid their regular salaries despite such absences. Eligible salaried employees shall notify their supervisors in advance of such absences and shall schedule such absences to cause the least impact on their work units. Such absences shall not interfere with the employee’s ability to produce his or her expected work outcomes.
