Events Involving Alcohol. $200 Refundable Deposit is due for all events having alcohol. All weekend parties need to be done and out by 11pm. -In activities or functions where Alcohol is served, the City requires the organization or group to hire a city approved Police/Security officer for all of the event. Polk County Sheriff's Dept can be called directly to set this up. -Only beer (cans only), wine, and champagne may be served at activities and events held in the GCC. These beverages must be provided by the organization, group, or person hosting the activity or event. -No compensation of any nature may be exchanged if alcohol is being served during the event unless a State of Iowa Alcohol License is obtained. This includes donations, advance sale tickets, meal tickets and tips. Events Involving Alcohol. As the West Hants Sports Complex is a public facility, the Renter/User will always abide by the provisions of the Nova Scotia Liquor Control Act. Regardless of what type of function/event is granted a Special Occasion License at the West Hants Sports Complex, the Renter/User will be responsible for providing a person/s for security/supervision purposes within the appropriate designated area of the Sports Complex as specified by the Sports Complex/Aquatic Centre Coordinator or Manager of Recreation and Facilities prior to the event. No alcoholic beverage will be permitted in the West Hants Sports Complex unless distributed from the bar. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted outside the building on Municipal property.

  • PROHIBITION ON PURCHASE OF TROPICAL HARDWOODS The Contractor certifies and warrants that all wood products to be used under this contract award will be in accordance with, but not limited to, the specifications and provisions of Section 165 of the State Finance Law, (Use of Tropical Hardwoods) which prohibits purchase and use of tropical hardwoods, unless specifically exempted, by the State or any governmental agency or political subdivision or public benefit corporation. Qualification for an exemption under this law will be the responsibility of the contractor to establish to meet with the approval of the State. In addition, when any portion of this contract involving the use of xxxxx, whether supply or installation, is to be performed by any subcontractor, the prime Contractor will indicate and certify in the submitted bid proposal that the subcontractor has been informed and is in compliance with specifications and provisions regarding use of tropical hardwoods as detailed in §165 State Finance Law. Any such use must meet with the approval of the State; otherwise, the bid may not be considered responsive. Under bidder certifications, proof of qualification for exemption will be the responsibility of the Contractor to meet with the approval of the State.

  • CERTIFICATION PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION AGAINST FIREARM AND AMMUNITION INDUSTRIES (Texas law as of September 1, 2021) By submitting a proposal to this Solicitation, you certify that you agree, when it is applicable, to the following required by Texas law as of September 1, 2021: If (a) company is not a sole proprietorship; (b) company has at least ten (10) full-time employees; (c) this contract has a value of at least $100,000 that is paid wholly or partly from public funds; (d) the contract is not excepted under Tex. Gov’t Code § 2274.003 of SB 19 (87th leg.); and (e) governmental entity has determined that company is not a sole-source provider or governmental entity has not received any bids from a company that is able to provide this written verification, the following certification shall apply; otherwise, this certification is not required. See Tex. Gov’t Code § 2274.001(3) of SB 19. “Discrimination against a firearm entity or firearm trade association” does not include: “(1) the established policies of a merchant, retail seller, or platform that restrict or prohibit the listing or selling of ammunition, firearms, or firearm accessories; and (2) a company’s refusal to engage in the trade of any goods or services, decision to refrain from continuing an existing business relationship, or decision to terminate an existing business relationship to comply with federal, state, or local law, policy, or regulations or a directive by a regulatory agency, or for any traditional business reason that is specific to the customer or potential customer and not based solely on an entity’s or association’s status as a firearm entity or firearm trade association.” See Tex.   • Events Beyond Our Control If an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and prevents Us from performing any of Our obligations under this Contract to any extent, then We are not required to perform that obligation to the extent and for as long as We are prevented by that Event Beyond Our Control. If such an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and We consider it appropriate to do so, We may notify You of the Event Beyond Our Control by any reasonable means, including by a public announcement.
