Equivalent Time. The time spent on Sabbatical Leave will be considered service to the College, but will not count towards the accrual of eligibility for future Sabbatical Leave.

Equivalent Time. Equivalent time should be used under the same rules as sick leave, family medical leave or personal necessity leave; it should not be used for vacations (Articles 7.2 and 7.6). Unit members may use up to five (5) days of accrued equivalent time per year, or more if approved by the Leave Committee. There is no limit on the amount of equivalent time that can be accrued. The teacher has the option of cashing out equivalent time yearly at the substitute rate of pay.

  • Governor or Equivalent Controls Whenever the Small Generating Facility is operated in parallel with the New York State Transmission System, Interconnection Customer shall operate the Small Generating Facility with its governor or equivalent controls in service and responsive to frequency. Interconnection Customer shall: (1) in coordination with NYISO, set the deadband parameter to: (1) a maximum of ±0.036 Hz and set the droop parameter to a maximum of 5 percent; or (2) implement the relevant droop and deadband settings from an approved Applicable Reliability Standard that provides for equivalent or more stringent parameters. Interconnection Customer shall be required to provide the status and settings of the governor and equivalent controls to NYISO and/or the Connecting Transmission Owner upon request. If Interconnection Customer needs to operate the Small Generating Facility with its governor or equivalent controls not in service, Interconnection Customer shall immediately notify NYISO and the Connecting Transmission Owner, and provide both with the following information: (1) the operating status of the governor or equivalent controls (i.e., whether it is currently out of service or when it will be taken out of service); (2) the reasons for removing the governor or equivalent controls from service; and (3) a reasonable estimate of when the governor or equivalent controls will be returned to service. Interconnection Customer shall make Reasonable Efforts to return its governor or equivalent controls into service as soon as practicable. Interconnection Customer shall make Reasonable Efforts to keep outages of the Small Generating Facility’s governor or equivalent controls to a minimum whenever the Small Generating Facility is operated in parallel with the New York State Transmission System.

  • EQUIVALENT OR IDENTICAL BIDS In the event two offers are found to be substantially equivalent, price shall be the basis for determining the award recipient. If two or more Bidders submit substantially equivalent Bids as to pricing or other factors, the decision of the Commissioner to award a Contract to one or more of such Bidders shall be final.

  • Transactions Made in Foreign Currencies If a transaction is made in a foreign currency, we and MasterCard International or VISA International, depending on which card is used, will convert the transaction into a U.S. dollar amount. MasterCard and VISA will act in accordance with their operating regulations or conversion procedures in effect at the time the transaction is processed. Currently, their regulations and procedures provide that the currency conversion rate they use, to determine the transaction amount in U.S. dollar, is either (a) a wholesale market rate, or (b) a government-mandated rate in effect one day prior to the processing date. MasterCard and VISA increase this conversion rate by one percent (1%) and keep this increase as compensation for performing the currency conversion service. We will charge you two percent (2%) of the U.S. dollar amount of the transaction converted from a foreign currency. The currency conversion rate calculated in this manner that is in effect on the processing date may differ from the rate in effect on the transaction date or posting date. Other Charges. You agree we may assess, in addition to the Interest Charge, the Other Charges below which charges will be earned when assessed and are not subject to refund or rebate. The following fees may be added, as applicable, to the Account and treated as a Purchase as indicated on the Insert:

  • Crib Time 17.6.1 An employee working overtime shall be allowed a crib time of 20 minutes without deduction of pay after each four hours of overtime worked provided the employee continues working after such crib time.

  • Regular Part-Time A regular part-time employee is someone who has a regular schedule of work providing less than seventy (70) hours bi-weekly.

  • Change in pension value This is the change in present value of defined benefit and actuarial pension plans.

  • PAID FOR TIME Wages for properly selected vacations, in all instances, will be paid to the employees no later than the workday prior to their vacation. If the employee does not receive his/her vacation check, the Employer will make all reasonable efforts to provide the check the following day including delivery by Saturday or Next Day Air. If the employee requests to see his vacation check on the Monday as permitted below and the Employer fails to make the vacation payment available by Saturday following the employee’s regular scheduled pay day the employee shall be paid an additional amount equal to one-half (1/2) of his or her daily guarantee at his or her regular hourly rate for every subsequent pay period until the shortage is corrected. Other shortages involving more than fifty forty ($40.00) ($50.00) dollars for full-time employees, and twenty ($20.00) twenty-five ($25.00) dollars for part-time employees, will be corrected and the payment will be made available to the employee at his/her reporting location on his/her second scheduled workday after reporting the shortage. If the Employer fails to make the payment available on the employee’s second scheduled workday and the shortage was the result of the Employer’s error, the employee will be paid an additional amount equal to one-half (1/2) of his/her daily guarantee at his/her regular hourly rate for every full pay period in which the shortage is not paid after the second (2nd) scheduled work day, until corrected. Errors of less than fifty ($50.00) forty ($40.00) dollars for full-time employees or twenty-five ($25.00) twenty ($20.00) dollars for part- time employees and overages will be corrected in the following weekly paycheck. The Union and Employer shall have the authority at any level of the grievance procedure to award a penalty up to the amount specified in the prior paragraph for any violation of the provision. If an employee works in different classifications during a shift that are paid at different rates, the different hours and rates shall be available for review electronically by an employee on a Company maintained website. Any grievance payments included on a paycheck will also be available for review by affected employees electronically with the applicable identifying grievance number on a website maintained by the Employer. Nothing in this paragraph is intended to eliminate any local practices regarding availability of data regarding grievance settlements.

  • Banked Time Overtime & Time Balancing Overtime is earned when the Company requests an employee to work overtime. Banked straight time is earned when an employee requests approval to work additional hours for the purpose of accruing time for time balancing purposes, there is an operational requirement for the work to be done, and the Manager approves the banked straight time in advance. Employees shall have the choice of having their authorized overtime paid out or accrued as per Articles 21.02 and 21.03 in a renewable time bank, subject to the following conditions:

  • Comp Time In lieu of payment for overtime hours worked, the employee may request to take compensatory time off. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Department Head. If the request is approved by the Department Head, one and one-half (1 2) hours of compensatory time shall be credited for each overtime hour worked. A maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be forty (40) hours. Flex Time. The County recognizes and supports the concept of Flex time. Flex time is allowed within the work week as it is defined in Article 20, Section 2 of this contract. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

  • Unpaid Time Off All accruals must be exhausted prior to taking unpaid time off (unless eligible for EIT access).
