Equal Opportunity and Diversity. 11.1 Statement of Intent. The Trustees, the University Administration, and the UFF fully support all laws and University regulations and policies intended to provide students, faculty, staff, vendors, visitors or others, an environment where they can work, study and interact with each other in a safe and dignified learning community free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct. The parties recognize their obligations under federal and State laws, and University regulations prohibiting discrimination and harassment, and have made clear their support for diversity, affirmative action, and equal employment opportunity. They desire to assure equal employment opportunities within the University and have, in this Agreement and elsewhere, undertaken programs to ensure equitable opportunities for faculty members to receive salary adjustments, tenure, promotion, sabbaticals, and other benefits.2
Equal Opportunity and Diversity. A. The Contractor agrees and warrants that, in the performance of its duties hereunder, it shall not discriminate or permit discrimination against any person or group of persons on the grounds of race, color, religious creed, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, gender, mental retardation, sexual orientation or physical disability, including but not limited to, blindness, unless it is shown by the Contractor that such disability prevents performance of the services under this Agreement.

  • Equal Opportunity It is hereby declared that equal opportunity and nondiscrimination shall be the County’s policy intended to assure equal opportunities to every person, regardless of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation and gender expression/identity, color, age, disability or national origin, in securing or holding employment in a field of work or labor for which the person is qualified, as provided by Section 17-314 of the Orange County Code and the County Administrative Regulations. Further, the CONTRACTOR shall abide by the following provisions:

  • EQUAL OPPORTUNITY CLAUSE The Contractor shall abide by the requirements of the equal opportunity clause at 41 CFR 60-300.5(a), as of March 24, 2014. This clause prohibits discrimination against qualified protected veterans, and requires affirmative action by the Contractor to employ and advance in employment qualified protected veterans.

  • Equal Opportunity Provision The parties agree that no person shall be subjected to discrimination because of age, race, color, disability, gender identity, gender expression marital status, national origin, religion, sex or sexual orientation in the performance of the parties’ respective duties, responsibilities and obligations under this Agreement.

  • Equal Opportunity Compliance The Contractor agrees to abide by all federal and state laws and rules and regulations, and executive orders of the Governor of the State of New Mexico, pertaining to equal employment opportunity. In accordance with all such laws of the State of New Mexico, the Contractor assures that no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental handicap, or serious medical condition, spousal affiliation, sexual orientation or gender identity, be excluded from employment with or participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity performed under this Agreement. If Contractor is found not to be in compliance with these requirements during the life of this Agreement, Contractor agrees to take appropriate steps to correct these deficiencies.

  • EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND NONDISCRIMINATION 1. The COUNTY’S policies of equal opportunity and nondiscrimination are intended to assure equal opportunities to every person, regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, disability or national origin, in securing or holding employment in a field of work or labor for which the person is qualified, as provided and enforced by Section 17-314 of the Orange County Code and the COUNTY’S relevant Administrative Regulations. It is also the county policy that person(s) doing business with the county shall recognize and comply with this policy and that the COUNTY shall not extend public funds or resources in a manner as would encourage, perpetuate or xxxxxx discrimination. Supplier will not maintain or provide facilities for employees at any establishment under its control that are segregated on a basis prohibited by federal law. Separate or single-user restrooms and necessary dressing or sleeping areas must be provided, however, to ensure privacy.
