Common use of Equal Employment Clause in Contracts

Equal Employment. If applicable, Contractor shall comply with Executive Order 11246, entitled “Equal Employment Opportunity,” as amended by Executive Order 11375, and as supplemented by the Department of Labor Regulations (41 C.F.R. Part 60), which prohibits federal contractors and federally- assisted contractors and subcontractors who do over $10,000 in Government business in one year from discriminating in employment decisions on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, and which requires Government contractors to take affirmative action to ensure that equal opportunity is provided in all aspects of their employment. In the event of Contractor’s noncompliance or refusal to comply with applicable rules listed in herein, this Contract may be rescinded, canceled, or terminated in whole or in part by DSHS under Termination for Default, and Contractor may be declared ineligible for further contracts with DSHS.
