It is also a violation of University policy to retaliate against any individual for filing a complaint of discrimination or for cooperating in an investigation of alleged discrimination (protected activity). Unlawful discrimination has no place at the University and offends the University's core values which includes a commitment to equal opportunity and inclusion.

Subcontractor agrees to: (a) permit access to its books, records and accounts pertaining to its employment practices to VEIC, DOEE, the District of Columbia’s Chief Procurement Office or designee, and/or the District of Columbia’s Director of Human Rights or designee, for purposes of investigation to ascertain compliance with this Section and (b) post and keep posted in a conspicuous location where business or activity is customarily conducted or negotiated, a notice whose language and form has been prepared by the DC Office of Human Rights, setting forth excerpts from or summaries of, the pertinent provisions of the DC Human Rights Act and information pertinent to the filing of a complaint.
