Environmentally Preferable Purchasing. The Contractor shall ensure that products purchased or leased by the Contractor or any Subcontractor for the Work that are not specified by the City or are submitted as equivalents to a product specified by the City comply with the requirements of the New York City Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program contained in Chapter 11 of Title 43 of the RCNY, pursuant to Chapter 3 of Title 6 of the Administrative Code.

Environmentally Preferable Purchasing i. Contractor shall provide training regarding the environmentally preferable products, as defined in the State’s Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Policy, that are purchased or made available under this Participating Addendum. This training shall be provided at no additional cost, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Parties, and shall be presented at a time and in a manner as agreed upon by the Parties.
Environmentally Preferable Purchasing. Grantee shall comply with the Grantor's Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Policy of instituting practices that reduce waste and purchasing products that include recycled content, are durable and long-lasting, conserve energy and water, and otherwise minimize environmental impacts, toxics, pollution and hazards to worker and community safety to the greatest extent practicable. At a minimum, this shall include all of the following for services and products purchased and used on behalf of the Grantor:

Environmentally Preferable Purchasing. The City of Santa Clarita, being fully aware of the limited nature of our resources and the leadership role government agencies have, supports the Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) program with Resolution 05-103. With changes in technology and industries occurring rapidly it is frequently difficult to be aware of the latest innovations. Therefore, it is the intent of the City of Santa Clarita to seek out those products which result in less energy usage, least impact on natural resources and greatest reuse of post-industrial and post-consumer material. Vendors are strongly encouraged to offer products and services meeting these criteria and point out those specific aspects or features in their bid. In accordance with Public Contract Code 22152 vendors are required to certify in writing the minimum, if not exact, percentage of postconsumer materials in the products, materials, goods, or supplies, offered or sold.
