Environmental, Safety, Health and Fire Protection. Supplier will take all reasonable precautions in providing the Goods and Services to protect the health and safety of UC employees and members of the public and to minimize danger from all hazards to life and property, and will comply with all applicable environmental protection, health, safety, and fire protection regulations and requirements (including reporting requirements). In the event that Supplier fails to comply with such regulations and requirements, UC may, without prejudice to any other legal or contractual rights of UC, issue an order stopping all or any part of the provision of the Goods and/or Services; thereafter a start order for resumption of providing the Goods and/or Services may be issued at UC’s discretion. Supplier will not be entitled to make a claim for extension of time or for compensation or damages by reason of or in connection with such stoppage. Supplier will have sole responsibility for the safety of all persons employed by Supplier and its sub-suppliers on UC premises, or any other person who enters upon UC premises for reasons relating to the Agreement. Supplier will at all times maintain good order among its employees and all other persons who come onto UC's premises at Supplier's request and will not engage any unfit or unskilled person to provide the Goods and/or Services. Supplier will confine its employees and all other persons who come onto UC's premises at Supplier's request or for reasons relating to the Agreement and its equipment to that portion of UC's premises where the Services are to be provided or to roads leading to and from such work sites, and to any other area which UC may permit Supplier to use. Supplier will take all reasonable measures and precautions at all times to prevent injuries to or the death of any of its employees or any other person who enters upon UC premises at Supplier’s request. Such measures and precautions will include, but will not be limited to, all safeguards and warnings necessary to protect workers and others against any conditions on the premises that could be dangerous and to prevent accidents of any kind whenever the Goods and/or Services are being provided in proximity to any moving or operating machinery, equipment or facilities, whether such machinery, equipment or facilities are the property of or are being operated by, Supplier, its sub-suppliers, UC or other persons.   • Environmental Health and Safety i. Environment, Health and Safety Performance. Seller acknowledges and accepts full and sole responsibility to maintain an environment, health and safety management system ("EMS") appropriate for its business throughout the performance of this Contract. Buyer expects that Seller’s EMS shall promote health and safety, environmental stewardship, and pollution prevention by appropriate source reduction strategies. Seller shall convey the requirement of this clause to its suppliers. Seller shall not deliver goods that contain asbestos mineral fibers.

  • ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH PROTECTION (a) Seller shall perform this Agreement in a manner that ensures adequate protection for workers, the public, and the environment, and shall be accountable for actions of itself and its lower-tier subcontractors, agents and employees. Seller shall exercise a degree of care commensurate with the work and the associated hazards. Seller shall ensure that management of environment, safety and health (ES&H) functions and activities is an integral and visible part of Seller’s work planning and execution process. In the event that Xxxxxx fails to comply with this Agreement, Company may, without prejudice to any other legal or contractual rights, issue an order stopping all or any part of the work; thereafter a start order for resumption of work may be issued at Company’s discretion. In addition, Company may require, in writing, that Seller remove from the work any employee the Company deems unsafe, incompetent, careless, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Work Health and Safety (a) The employer and employee acknowledge their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012.

  • Health and Safety Requirements The Contractor and his subcontractors ensure at all times compliance with safety regulations imposed by any Act of Parliament, ordinance or any regulation or by¬law of any local or statutory authority. Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act of 1993-Section 37) The Contractor shall comply with:  The Occupational Health and Safety Xxx, 0000, and all Regulations made there under;  All Eskom Safety and Operating Procedures listed in this Works Information. The Contractor acknowledges that it is fully aware of the requirements of all the above and undertakes to employ only people who have been duly authorised in terms thereof and who have received sufficient training to ensure that they can comply therewith. The Contractor undertakes not to do, or not to allow anything to be done which will contravene any of the provisions of the Act, Regulations or Safety and Operating Procedures. The Contractor shall appoint a person who will liaise with the Eskom Safety Officer responsible for the premises relevant to this contract. The person so appointed shall, on request:  Supply the Eskom Safety Officer with copies of minutes of all Health and Safety Committee meetings, whenever he is required to do so;  Supply the Eskom Safety Officer with copies of all appointments in respect of employees employed on this contract, in terms of the Act and Regulations and shall advise the Eskom Safety Officer of any changes thereto. Eskom may, at any stage during the currency of this agreement, be entitled to:  Do safety audits at the Contractor’s premises, its work-places and on its employees;  Refuse any employee, sub-contractor or agent of the Contractor access to its premises if such person has been found to commit any unlawful act or any unsafe working practice or is found to be not authorised or qualified in terms of the Act;

  • Environment Health and Safety 24.4.1. The Supplier and its staff (and/or any sub-supplier and/or subcontractor) shall comply with the laws and regulations in force related to protection of the environment, the health and safety instructions applicable to the Goods and Services performed pursuant to the Contract and especially, if appropriate, to the Goodsand Services performedon any Site by a third company.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK The Supplier shall undertake its obligations arising hereunder and in all Contracts in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System or equivalent. Both parties shall take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of the other party’s employees and agents visiting their premises. The Supplier shall notify the Authority of any use of substances listed under COSHH regulations or the Montreal Protocol in the provision of the Services.
