Environmental Criteria for Subproject Selection. The Project will primarily focus on investments with no significant adverse environmental impacts. However, in some exceptional cases where the needs for financing environmentally sensitive subprojects (e.g. landfill sites) are well justified, such projects may be considered. Both ADB and the Government’s environmental assessment and management procedures will be strictly followed, and environmental risks are minimized to an acceptable level as a result of properly assessed and planned mitigation program.
