Entrance Facilities. 7.3.1.1.1 Recurring and nonrecurring rates for Entrance Facilities are specified in Exhibit A and will apply for those DS1 or DS3 facilities dedicated to use by LIS.

Entrance Facilities. ALEC Inc., may elect to place ALEC Inc.,-owned or ALEC Inc.,- leased fiber entrance facilities into the Collocation Space. BellSouth will designate the point of interconnection in close proximity to the Premises building housing the Collocation Space, such as an entrance manhole or a cable vault which are physically accessible by both Parties. ALEC Inc., will provide and place fiber cable at the point of entrance of sufficient length to be pulled through conduit and into the splice location. ALEC Inc., will provide and install a sufficient length of fire retardant riser cable, to which the entrance cable will be spliced by BellSouth, which will extend from the splice location to ALEC Inc.,’s equipment in the Collocation Space. In the event ALEC Inc., utilizes a non-metallic, riser-type entrance facility, a splice will not be required. ALEC Inc., must contact BellSouth for instructions prior to placing the entrance facility cable in the manhole. ALEC Inc., is responsible for maintenance of the entrance facilities. At ALEC Inc.,’s option BellSouth will accommodate where technically feasible a microwave entrance facility pursuant to separately negotiated terms and conditions. In the case of adjacent collocation, unless BellSouth determines that limited space is available for the entrance facilities, copper facilities may be used between the adjacent collocation arrangement and the central office demarcation point.

BellSouth will designate the point of interconnection in proximity to the central office building housing the Collocation Space, such as an entrance manhole or a cable vault. No splicing will be permitted in the entrance manhole. Interconnector will provide a sufficient length of fire retardant riser cable, to which the entrance cable will be spliced, which will extend from the splice location to the Interconnector’s equipment in the Collocation Space. Interconnector must contact BellSouth for instructions prior to placing the entrance facility cable in the manhole. Interconnector is responsible for maintenance of the entrance facilities. Dual entrance will be permitted where capacity exists. The interconnection point for entrance facilities extending from a rooftop antenna will be designated by BellSouth on the Application/Inquiry response.

BellSouth will designate the point of interconnection in close proximity to the BellSouth Premises housing the Collocation Space, such as at an entrance manhole or a cable vault for Central Offices, which is physically accessible by both Parties. For Central Offices, Neutral Tandem will provide and place fiber cable in the entrance manhole of sufficient length to be pulled through conduit and into the splice location. Neutral Tandem will provide and install a sufficient length of fire retardant riser cable, to which BellSouth will splice the entrance cable. The fire retardant riser cable will extend from the splice location to Neutral Tandem’s equipment in Neutral Tandem’s Collocation Space. In the event Neutral Tandem utilizes a non-metallic, riser-type entrance facility, a splice will not be required. For Remote Terminals Neutral Tandem will provide and place copper cable through conduit from the Remote Site Collocation Space to the feeder distribution interface. Such copper cable must be of sufficient length to reach the splice location for splicing by BellSouth. Neutral Tandem must contact BellSouth for authorization and instruction prior to placing any entrance facility cable in an entrance manhole or cable vault. Neutral Tandem is responsible for the maintenance of the entrance facilities. Nonrecurring charges for cable installation will be assessed on a per cable basis as set forth in Exhibit B upon receipt of Neutral Tandem’s BFFO. Recurring charges for the cable support structure will be billed at the rates set forth in Exhibit B.

PTLLC will provide and install a sufficient length of fire retardant riser cable, to which BellSouth will splice the entrance cable. The fire retardant riser cable will extend from the splice location to PTLLC’s equipment in the Collocation Space. In the event PTLLC utilizes a non-metallic, riser-type entrance facility, a splice will not be required. PTLLC must contact BellSouth for authorization and instruction prior to placing any entrance facility cable in the manhole. PTLLC is responsible for the maintenance of the entrance facilities.
