Entitlement to compassionate leave. An employee is entitled to 2 days of compassionate leave for each occasion (a permissible occasion) when a member of the employee’s immediate family, or a member of the employee’s household:

Entitlement to compassionate leave. An Employee is entitled to three (3) days of compassionate leave for each Permissible Occasion when a member of the Employee’s Immediate Family, or a member of the Employee’s household: contracts or develops a personal illness that poses a serious threat to his or her life; or sustains a personal injury that poses a serious threat to his or her life; or dies. A further two (2) days of compassionate leave, for a total of five (5) days for each Permissible Occasion, will be granted in situations where interstate or international travel is required for the purposes of this clause. In order to be eligible for the additional two (2) days of compassionate leave the Employee may be required to provide evidence of the interstate or international travel, to the satisfaction of the General Manager.
