The liability of the Employer is limited to the total of the Prices stated in the specific Task Order and not the total Price stated in the Service Information. The Contractor will be notified by the Service Manager a minimum a month in advance if he becomes aware of any Outage dates that is delayed with 2months or brought forward. Eskom will not pay the Contractor for obtaining quotations, unless otherwise agreed by the Service Manager. The Contractor will be subject to performance appraisals based on Eskom’s key performance indicators. Based on outcomes of these performance appraisals, the Service Manager reserves the right to withhold allocation of works to non-performing contractors. The Contractor must submit remittance advices of the sub-contractors to the Service Manager upon request. The Service Manager has the right to request the remittance advices directly from sub-contractors employed by the Contractor at any time. Employer’s requirements for the service. The Provision of Cleaning Services to Majuba Power Station Project offices. The Service Provider will be instructed to work as per works order in terms of the price list to supply labour and cost-plus items for work identified by the Employer’s Representative or his delegate on as and when needed bases to render cleaning services to Eskom Majuba Projects Offices which is Site Offices and all other related areas of the project. The Service Provider will be required to supply a SHE file for approval prior to starting of work. The Service Provider must work according to the Employer’s working hours and will supply their staff suitable communication tools to enable the Employer’s Representative to communicate at all hours with the Supervisor or his representative. The Service Provider provides accommodation and transport for its own staff and includes these cost items in the price list. The Service Provider will be expected to allow its personnel to work overtime on as and when required bases on approval from the Employer’s Representative. The Service Provider must provide all necessary equipment and tools e.g. vacuum cleaners, buckets, brooms, mops etc. for its personnel, together with all necessary suitable personal protective equipment (PPE). Workers not wearing suitable PPE will not be allowed on site. All costs involved must be allowed in the price list. The Service Provider shall always provide enough personnel as required by each task order within 3 days. All Service Provider’s personnel engaged on Site are required to do induction at Majuba Power Station and should also undergo medical examination at the Service Provider’s own cost. All costs involved will be deemed to be included in the prices list. (refer to Majuba Projects SHE Specification). In general, the description of the Services covered by the proposed contract includes, but not limited to the following: • Cleaning services to all project offices. • Supply and deliver hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol based. • Supply and deliver hygiene hand wipes. • Supply and deliver surface sanitizers. • Waste removal from offices to localized bins. • Deep cleansing services of toilets. • Removal and disposal of sanitary towels at a registered disposal site and submit disposal certificates. The Service Provider must comply with all Eskom’s SHE requirements and all costs must be priced on the bill of quantities.

The responsibilities of the Site Supervision and management team shall amongst other things include:  Attendance of all daily supervisor feedback meetings, safety meetings/quality & environmental meetings, and meetings with the Service Manager or his delegates;  Conveying and sharing thoroughly drawn up and comprehensive feedback for all planned or emergency; outage work as required by the Employer’s staff  Ability to converse with own staff and Employer’s staff on technical and operational matters;  Ability to represent the Contractor on the Employer’s management meetings when so required;  Administer all planning and reporting requirements;  Ensure sufficient quality control and assurance;  Ensure that all Construction regulations and OHSA requirements are complied with;  Ensure that all required permits are requested and issued prior to the commencement of work;  Handle all human resource development activities, recruitment, industrial relations issues;  Conduct monthly safety meetings with own staff, and documentation of all safety issues;  Be actively involved in its staff’s health & safety issues;  Administrate all payroll activities and issues that may arise;  Monitor and control own staff’s sick leave and absenteeism record;  Administrate all quotations and invoices from Site;  Be conversant with New Engineering Contracts (NEC)  Be the single point of contact for all Employer‘s requests concerning its staff. These sites have security systems consisting of various detection and deterrent technologies to which the monitoring contractor will interface in order to provide their service.
