Employees working ten or twelve-hour shifts. For pay periods in which a holiday falls, an employee working a ten or twelve-hour shift may supplement the pay for the holiday by using accumulated holiday time, accrued vacation leave, or by working additional hours at regular pay in the week of the holiday. However, the pay for the holiday cannot exceed the normal work shift. An employee's request to supplement holiday pay in this manner must be submitted at least five working days prior to the holiday.
