Employees on Sick Leave. An employee on sick leave (before and after) Weather Day will utilize a sick day on a Weather Day. If this sick leave day falls on a day that a 9-month employee will not work because the day will be made-up, then the day will not be counted as a sick leave day and will be counted as a non-work day.

Employees on Sick Leave. When a layoff takes place and an employee is on a medical leave of absence, they will not be laid off during this period, even if they do not have sufficient seniority to remain working. Upon medical approval to return to work, they will then be returned to work or laid off in accordance with their seniority.
Employees on Sick Leave at the time of layoff will continue on Sick Leave, but an employee who becomes ill while on layoff shall not be eligible for Sick Leave until such time as they would normally return to work.
