Employees' Files. D.2.1 An Employee will be allowed to review and receive copies of the Employee’s personnel file during normal business hours, upon prior written request to the person designated by the Employer. Such review must be made in the presence of a member of the Employee Services’ staff at a time that is mutually arranged between the Employee Services’ staff and the Employee concerned.

Employees' Files. 21.1 Each employee shall have an official personnel file located in Human Resources, the contents of which are limited to employment rather than academic matters.

Employees' Files. 6.01 Copies of all appraisal and discipline entries in an employee's personnel file shall be submitted to the employee concerned at the time of recording. Adverse appraisals and discipline entries are subject to grievance by the employee. Upon request of the employee, any disciplinary document, other than discipline relating to client abuse or financial exploitation and performance appraisals, shall be removed from the employee's file eighteen (18) months from the date it was issued, provided there have not been any further disciplinary actions against the employee. Record of suspensions shall remain in the employee's file for a period of eighteen (18) months following the expiry of the suspension. Employees shall be entitled, upon reasonable notice, in writing, to access their personnel file in the office in which it is normally kept.

Employees' Files. 28.1. No material which the Superintendent or supervisor deems derogatory to an employee's conduct, service, character, or personality will be placed in such employee’s personnel file unless the employee has had an opportunity to review the material. A copy of the material will either be hand delivered to the employee or sent by certified mail, return receipt requested. The employee will acknowledge having had the opportunity to review such material by signing the copy to be filed within fourteen (14) calendar days of its receipt. Such signature, however, shall not be deemed to indicate agreement with the contents thereof. Such material, either hand delivered to an employee or sent to the employee by certified mail return receipt requested with a signed receipt returned, will be accepted by both parties as proof that the requirements of the school system as described here have been fulfilled in the event that the employee does not sign the material within fourteen (14) days of its receipt.
