Where, in scheduling vacation leave, the Deputy Head is unable to comply with the employee’s written request, the Deputy Head or delegated official shall:
Employee Request. (a) In the event that an alternate time of departure and/or means of travel is requested by the employee, the Company may authorize such alternate arrangements in which case compensation for travelling time and expenses shall not exceed that which would have been payable under the Company’s original determination. Upon notification, the employee has a right to submit the required letter of application, resume or other specified materials as a transfer request if the position is in the same classification. Transfer applicants shall be considered before applications from external applicants are viewed by the hiring manager or any member of the hiring committee. The screening committee for all transfer applicants will be no more than three (3) members. The transfer selection process shall conclude at least two (2) days prior to the first review date for external applications for the position.

When an employee wishes to change his scheduled or designated days off, he will notify his supervisor at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance and if such a change is mutually agreed upon by the employee and his supervisor, then the employee will work at straight-time rates on the day or days originally scheduled as his scheduled or recognized days off.
