Employee Orientation. Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.
Employee Orientation. Where a College has a formal orientation meeting with a group of new employees, the Local Union will be given an opportunity to address the group during the meeting for the purpose of assisting the College in orienting the new employees to the College.

The employee shall be provided with a University orientation packet which will include an explanation of insurance benefits and information on child care programs, and shall be informed when Human Resources is holding orientation sessions and shall be allowed to attend such an orientation session. During such an employee orientation, a Union representative may be present and shall be permitted a reasonable time to address bargaining unit employees. All newly hired bargaining unit employees shall be provided at the time of hire a letter signed jointly by the Union and the University.

The orientation may be presented in written form, by video, in person, or by any combination of presentation methods. The Employer shall inform new full time unit employees that the Union is the exclusive representative of all unit employees and provide information on all employee benefit programs provided by the Employer. The Employer agrees to distribute informational packets provided by the Union to new employees. The Union shall be allowed to make a presentation at orientations offered by the Employer. The presentation may be up to one half hour in duration and shall be conducted by a Union staff person. If a Union staff person is unable to attend the orientation, a Union staff person shall have access to all new employees for up to one half hour at the convenience of the Employer within thirty (30) calendar days following the orientation. The presentation may be up to one half hour in duration and shall be conducted by an Association staff person. If an Association staff person is unable to attend the orientation, an Association staff person shall have access to all new employees for up to one half hour at the convenience of the Employer within thirty (30) calendar days following the orientation. This provision shall also apply to regularly scheduled part-time unit employees, however the presentation method shall be at the Employer’s choice.
Employee Orientation. AFT will be notified at least two (2) weeks prior to any District-wide orientation program at which new unit members represented by AFT are scheduled to attend. Released time for an AFT unit member representative to attend such program is appropriate so that a presentation can be made. Released time is to be authorized through the Vice Chancellor, Human Resources.
Employee Orientation. The Employer agrees to give all new bargaining unit employees at the time of hire a copy of this Agreement which is to be provided by the Union. The Employer further agrees to furnish all new bargaining unit employees at the time of hire with a letter signed jointly by the Union and the Employer which explains the employee's rights under the Minnesota Public Employment Labor Relations Act. The Business Agent or designated Local Union representative shall be allowed to meet with new bargaining unit employees as a group during the designated lunch break of any central orientation in a scheduled conference facility for the purposes of informing them of the rights, privileges and responsibilities of membership in the Local Union.
