Employee Orientation. Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

Employee Orientation. Where a College has a formal orientation meeting with a group of new employees, the Local Union will be given an opportunity to address the group during the meeting for the purpose of assisting the College in orienting the new employees to the College.
Employee Orientation. Each supervisor shall be responsible for the orientation of each employee. The employee shall be provided with a University orientation packet which will include an explanation of insurance benefits and information on child care programs, and shall be informed when Human Resources is holding orientation sessions and shall be allowed to attend such an orientation session. During such an employee orientation, a Union representative may be present and shall be permitted a reasonable time to address bargaining unit employees. All newly hired bargaining unit employees shall be provided at the time of hire a letter signed jointly by the Union and the University.

This provision shall also apply to regularly scheduled part-time unit employees, however the presentation method shall be at the Employer’s choice.
Employee Orientation. AFT will be notified at least two (2) weeks prior to any District-wide orientation program at which new unit members represented by AFT are scheduled to attend. Released time for an AFT unit member representative to attend such program is appropriate so that a presentation can be made. Released time is to be authorized through the Vice Chancellor, Human Resources.
