EMPLOYEE APPRAISAL. ‌ Where a formal appraisal of an employee's performance is carried out, the employee shall be given sufficient opportunity to read and review the appraisal. Provision shall be made on the employee appraisal form for an employee to sign it. The form shall provide for the employee's signature in two (2) places, one indicating that the employee has read and accepts the appraisal, and the other indicating that the employee disagrees with the appraisal. The employee shall sign in one of the places provided. An employee shall, upon request, receive a copy of the employee appraisal at the time of signing. An employee appraisal shall not be changed after an employee has signed it without the knowledge of the employee. An employee may submit rebuttal documentation, to be placed on file, in response to the appraisal.

The Bartlesville Board of Education believes that the primary purpose of appraisal is to improve performance and that improvement of individual performance is not accidental but is accomplished through deliberate effort. EMPLOYEE APPRAISAL. PERFORMANCE PLAN Prior to the start of the rating year, each employee will receive a Performance Plan that will later be used as the basis for the employee's appraisal. The Performance Plan is a summary of how an employee will be rated during the appraisal period, and the specific behaviors or competencies they are expected to display. Each super- visor must meet with his/her employees to review these specific goals, objectives, and results expected for the coming year within thirty (30) calendar days of the beginning of the performance period, or within fifteen (15) calendar days from when an employee enters a new position in the Corporation. Employees must receive a copy of the performance plan signed by the rating and reviewing offi- cial. These goals are linked directly to the mission of the organization and are grouped as Performance Elements and Objectives.

EMPLOYEE APPRAISAL. ‌ Where a formal evaluation of an employee's performance is carried out, the employee shall be provided with a copy to read and review. The form shall provide for the employee's signature in two places, one indicating that the employee has read and accepts the evaluation, and the other indicating that the employee has read and disagrees with the evaluation. The employee shall sign in one of the places provided within 48 hours of the receipt of the appraisal. The employee shall be provided with a copy of the signed appraisal. No employees may initiate a grievance regarding the contents of an evaluation report unless the signature indicates disagreement with the evaluation.
EMPLOYEE APPRAISAL. Evaluation shall be conducted in compliance with K.S.A. 72-9003. Personnel assigned to a building, will be evaluated by the building principal or his/her designees following local district procedures with the local evaluation form. In addition, the employee will be rated by the local administrator, using the SKACD appraisal instrument. Persons to be evaluated should participate in their evaluations, and shall be afforded the opportunity for self-evaluation. Every certified employee, in the first two consecutive years of their employment, shall be evaluated at least one time per semester not later than the 60th school day of the semester. During the third and fourth years of employment, every employee shall be evaluated at least one time each school year not later than February 15. After the fourth year of employment, every employee shall be evaluated at least once in every three years not later than February 15th in the school year in which the employee is evaluated. If an employee believes that an evaluation is incomplete, inaccurate, or unfair, he/she may request a meeting with the SKACD Director or his/her designee to review the evaluation. The SKACD Director may include the evaluating administrator in this meeting. This request must be made in writing not later than 10 school days after the evaluation conference. The SKACD Director or his/her designee will grant this request within 10 school days of receiving the request.
