Employee and Immediate Supervisor. If an employee has a grievance, the employee and/or Union representative shall first discuss it with the employee’s immediate supervisor within fourteen (14) calendar days from when the grievance arose. The supervisor shall have seven (7) calendar days to resolve the grievance.

Employee and Immediate Supervisor. 11.2 It is the desire of the parties to this Agreement that grievances be resolved informally wherever possible and at the first level of supervision. If an employee has a grievance, the employee shall first discuss it with his or her immediate Supervisor within ten (10) working days.

If the immediate supervisor is the employee’s department director, then the employee’s next step in this process is Step 3.

The employee (the Shop Xxxxxxx/Delegate and/or Union Representative, if requested by the employee) shall meet with the employee’s immediate supervisor and in no event the meeting shall be scheduled no later than 14 calendar days of the employee’s knowledge that a grievance exists.
