Emory’s Representations. Emory hereby agrees and represents to Sponsor that prior to commencing the Project, Emory and Emory Principal Investigator shall obtain all required institutional approvals. Emory further represents that the Project will be conducted in compliance with applicable U.S. laws, rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, as amended, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, as they may be amended from time to time (“HIPAA”), and any other U.S. laws and/or regulations relating to the maintenance, use, transmission or other activity concerning patient records and confidentiality of personal and medical data. ,.
