Emergency Telephone Calls. In the event of a family emergency the family member should contact Plant Security, 459-1249. When a family member calls Plant Security with an emergency situation for an employee, the caller should be prepared to provide Plant Security with the following information: employee's name, global ID (if possible), department, the caller's relationship to the employee and the nature of the emergency. When an emergency telephone call is received in Plant Security, the name of the employee, the time of the call, and the message will be recorded in an Emergency Call Log Book. The message will then be forwarded to the employee's supervisor. At the time the message is delivered to the department, the name of the party notified and the time will be recorded in the log. Once the message is given to the employee, the supervisor will be required to call back to confirm that the message was given. If this confirmation is not received in Plant Security within a reasonable time (15 minutes), a second call will be made to assure that the message was delivered. Leaving the Plant (Illness) When an employee leaves the plant because of an alleged illness or injury and through Labor Relations is advised to see a physician, they must see a physician, urgent care or ER prior to the start of their next shift, or within 24 hours, whichever is sooner. All employees must be cleared to return to work prior to the start of their shift. Medical and Restrooms The Operation Managers will address a letter to all supervisors instructing them of their responsibility for handling medical and restroom requests. The supervisors are to remind their employees that all medical and restroom requests are to be made directly to them except in an emergency. Abuse of either of these privileges will be dealt with on an exception basis only after counseling with area committeeman and Labor Relations. Accusations of supervisory disregard for the procedure will also be investigated by a member of the Bargaining Committee and manager of the department.
Emergency Telephone Calls and/or Texts and/or Other Employer-Authorized Communication Platform While In Stand-By Status. When in stand-by status, for each twenty-four (24) hour calendar day starting at 12:00 midnight, the employee shall be compensated a minimum of one (1) hour at the overtime rate when responding to the first emergency call or emergency text from their manager and/or approved by their manager, that does not require a return to the worksite to address. All emergency calls and emergency texts added together are included in the one-hour rate during that twenty-four (24) hour period, unless the total duration of calls and texts exceeds one hour, in which case, the employee shall be compensated for all time worked beyond the minimum one hour paid, rounded to the nearest 6th minute. Employees are required to submit a report documenting the date, time, nature of call, response provided and the duration of the call and text for purposes of tracking and accurate recordkeeping.
Emergency Telephone Calls. An employee required to answer emergency telephone calls outside ordinary working hours, but not recalled to duty, shall be reimbursed rental charges on such telephone calls on production of receipted accounts. Provided that, where an employee is required to answer out-of-hours telephone calls on a relief basis, he/she shall be paid one-twelfth (1/12th) of his/her yearly telephone rental for each month or part thereof he/she is so employed.
Emergency Telephone Calls. The parties discussed the subject of emergency telephone calls that an employee may receive while at work and both parties agree on the importance of these phone calls. The Company has assured the Union that legitimate emergency situations will be relayed to the affected employees immediately. Furthermore, the parties agree that the Company has the right to question the nature of the emergency.
Emergency Telephone Calls. The Company agrees to follow Section “C” number 5 under Company Policy and Procedures which reads: In all cases of emergency the nature of the emergency must be provided to the Company operator, who will immediately notify the Supervisor of the employee that there is an emergency call. Paid Sick Days As of January 1st, 2009, the Company agrees to allow one (1) paid sick day per annum for Employees with one (1) year, but less than three (3) years of seniority and two (2) paid sick days per annum for Employees with five (5) years of seniority.

All Residents are subject to the Institution’s and/or Service Provider’s current Internet, cable television and telephone enrolment and usage policies.

  • Telephone Service Notwithstanding any other provision of this Lease to the contrary:

  • Telephone Services All telegraph, telephone, and communication connections which Tenant may desire outside the Premises shall be subject to Landlord’s prior written approval, in Landlord’s sole discretion, and the location of all wires and the work in connection therewith shall be performed by contractors approved by Landlord and shall be subject to the direction of Landlord, except that such approval is not required as to Tenant’s cabling from the Premises in a route designated by Landlord to any telephone cabinet or panel provided for Tenant’s connection to the telephone cable serving the Building, so long as Tenant’s equipment does not require connections different than or additional to those to the telephone cabinet or panel provided. As to any such connections or work outside the Premises requiring Landlord’s approval, Landlord reserves the right to designate and control the entity or entities providing telephone or other communication cable installation, removal, repair and maintenance outside the Premises and to restrict and control access to telephone cabinets or panels. In the event Landlord designates a particular vendor or vendors to provide such cable installation, removal, repair and maintenance for the Building, Tenant agrees to abide by and participate in such program. Tenant shall be responsible for and shall pay all costs incurred in connection with the installation of telephone cables and communication wiring in the Premises, including any hook-up, access and maintenance fees related to the installation of such wires and cables in the Premises and the commencement of service therein, and the maintenance thereafter of such wire and cables; and there shall be included in Operating Expenses for the Building all installation, removal, hook-up or maintenance costs incurred by Landlord in connection with telephone cables and communication wiring serving the Building which are not allocable to any individual users of such service but are allocable to the Building generally. If Tenant fails to maintain all telephone cables and communication wiring in the Premises and such failure affects or interferes with the operation or maintenance of any other telephone cables or communication wiring serving the Building, Landlord or any vendor hired by Landlord may enter into and upon the Premises forthwith and perform such repairs, restorations or alterations as Landlord deems necessary in order to eliminate any such interference (and Landlord may recover from Tenant all of Landlord’s costs in connection therewith). No later than the Termination Date, Tenant agrees to remove all telephone cables and communication wiring installed by Tenant for and during Tenant’s occupancy, which Landlord shall request Tenant to remove. Tenant agrees that neither Landlord nor any of its agents or employees shall be liable to Tenant, or any of Tenant’s employees, agents, customers or invitees or anyone claiming through, by or under Tenant, for any damages, injuries, losses, expenses, claims or causes of action because of any interruption, diminution, delay or discontinuance at any time for any reason in the furnishing of any telephone or other communication service to the Premises and the Building.

  • Phone Calls Time spent on work-related employer initiated and subsequent employee initiated telephone calls during the employee’s non-work time of over ten (10) minutes per day will be considered time worked and will be deducted from standby pay. The employee shall receive a minimum of one (1) hour compensation at their regular, non-overtime hourly rate of pay for each non-related incident. Employees are not required to answer the phone or respond to work related messages during their non-work time, unless they are on stand-by status.

  • Emergency Service Leave ‌ Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from the Provincial Emergency Program or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay.
