Emergency School Closings. 8-11-1 When weather conditions constitute a danger sufficient to require the closing of schools, the following procedure shall be followed:

Whenever scheduled school is canceled due to acts of God, employees shall not be required to report for work or to remain at work after school premises have been cleared of students. Affected employees shall experience no loss of pay under such circumstances if they would have otherwise worked. However, paraprofessionals may be required to make up days missed (without additional pay) equal to the number of lost instructional days this district is required to make up under state law.

Emergency School Closings. (1) If schools are closed for reasons beyond the control of the BOARD and unless otherwise notified, food service, transportation and custodial employees shall not report to work but will be compensated at their daily rate of pay. If otherwise notified to report for work they will be given compensatory time off with pay at the discretion of the appropriate supervisor. However, if the BOARD is required by state law to make up any of the lost days, payment for days lost will be considered pay in advance for less than 52 week personnel who shall report for work on the make up days with no additional compensation paid.

Emergency School Closings. If at any time during the life of this agreement, it becomes lawful to count as days of pupil instruction, days when pupil instruction is not provided due to conditions not within the control of school authorities, such as due to storms, fires, epidemics or health conditions or other Acts of God; bargaining unit members shall be excused from reporting to duty without loss of pay, and days lost due to school closing under the foregoing circumstances shall not be made up. The school calendar as set forth in Appendix C may not be altered without agreement of the Association except as hereinafter set forth:
Emergency School Closings. On days classes are cancelled or the District is closed as a result of a school or weather-related emergency, bargaining unit members will make up any day(s) missed on the designated make up day(s). This section does not apply to twelve (12) month employees.
