Emergency Scheduling. Only in an emergency situation, the School may assign an employee to two consecutive shifts. Any involuntary assignment under this paragraph shall be the lowest-seniority employee who has the qualifications necessary to fill the shift. Under no circumstances will employees be permitted to do a triple shift.

Emergency Scheduling. ‌ Once per production and where the Engager can demonstrate that there is no other reasonable alternative available to the Engager, Equity will consider a request from the Engager for alternative scheduling whereby an Artist may be required to rehearse in more than two (2) calls, provided that each rehearsal call is not less than one (1) hour, there is a break of at least one (1) hour between rehearsal calls, and the span of day for the Artist does not exceed ten (10) hours. However, Equity's prior consent shall not be required in the event of an emergency or other unanticipated event which necessitates an immediate and unforeseen change to the rehearsal schedule, and where there is no other reasonable alternative available to the Engager. In such case, the Engager shall notify the Artists affected by the change immediately and Equity as soon as possible thereafter. The notification shall include reasonable explanation of the circumstances which necessitated the change.
Emergency Scheduling. In the event of an emergency situation declared by the chief, or in his/her absence, their designee, the schedule may be altered to meet the needs of the situation. The overtime rules will be honored as normally applied. Officers will return to their normal schedule as soon as the emergency has ended.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours.   • Self Scheduling The Home and the Union may agree to implement a self-scheduling process. Self-scheduling is the mechanism by which employees in a Home create their own work schedules. The purpose of self scheduling is to improve job satisfaction and quality of work life for the participating employees. Self scheduling requires a collaboration of employees and management to ensure proper coverage of the Home and to meet the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It is agreed that self scheduling will be negotiated locally by the Home and the Union and will include a trial period. Each Home must have the majority agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to agree on a trial period of up to six months. Once the trial period is complete, each Home must have a minimum of 66⅔% agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to continue with the new schedule on a permanent basis.

  • Emergency Service Leave ‌ Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from the Provincial Emergency Program or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay.
