Emergency Operation. 6:01 In the event of an emergency which could endanger the health or safety of the public, employees shall unite to meet the emergency and shall, until the danger has been brought under control, perform such duties as may be required of them.
Emergency Operation. The Contractor shall promptly notify the proper utility representative of any trouble endangering the service, or of any automatic operation of the main circuit breaker or any main protective device at the City's installation. The equipment on the City's premises causing the operation shall not be re-energized until it is isolated, repaired or replaced and until permission for re-energizing this equipment has been obtained from the utility. If service from a utility feeder is interrupted, no switching shall be done. The Contractor shall contact the proper utility representative who will arrange for the necessary switching.
Emergency Operation. The Black Start Generator acknowledges that during a Black Start situation its Black Start Generating Units may be asked to operate outside of their normal operational capability in Schedule 2. The Black Start Generator shall comply with such an instruction unless the Black Start Generator believes it is necessary for safety reasons or to maintain compliance with law (whether relating to personnel or plant and/or equipment). If a CAISO, or by the PTO when designated by the CAISO, Exceptional Dispatch Instruction or Performance Test would risk damage to the Black Start Generator’s facilities, the Black Start Generator shall, if time permits, inform the CAISO, or if applicable the PTO, of any such risk and seek confirmation of the relevant Exceptional Dispatch Instruction. Should the Black Start Generator fail to reasonably meet the performance guidelines specified in Schedule 2 and Schedule 3, other than during Uncontrollable Force or for safety reasons, then appropriate penalties may be applied in accordance with Article XIII of this Agreement.

The interior unlocking devices, two distinct actions to actuate, shall be clearly marked as “Emergency” only devices. Clear and concise instructions for emergency exit shall be posted on an interior panel near the doorway. The interior door emergency devices shall be accessible from near the doorway area. The door emergency activator shall be easily re- settable by an Operator at the door without tools within 30 seconds. Locked doors shall require a force of more than 100 pounds to open manually. When the locked doors are manually forced to open, damage shall be limited to the bending of minor door linkage with no resulting damage to the doors, engines, and complex mechanism.
