Emergency Duty Leave. A regular employee who is a member of the National Guard or organized Reserves of a United States Military Service and who is ordered to emergency duty because of riot, flood, or other disaster, shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for the duration of that emergency duty. Seniority shall accumulate during such leave.

Emergency Duty Leave. A full-time employee who is a member of the National Guard or organized Reserves of a United States Military Service, and who is ordered to emergency duty because of riot, flood, or other disaster, shall be granted a leave of absence for the duration of the emergency duty. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay an amount equal to the difference between the employee's regular salary as computed on a daily basis, and the reservist's daily base stipend, if that stipend is less than the employee's daily rate. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay the above difference for a maximum period of twenty (20) workdays.

Court duty leave does not apply to employees who have a need to appear in court for personal matters or because of litigation against the school corporation.

  • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee. Any hours worked beyond the regularly scheduled workday shall be subject to the workweek and overtime provisions (Article I). An employee may request a change in regularly scheduled working hours to a Monday through Friday day shift for the duration of such jury duty. Such requests shall be granted if practicable.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. A teacher will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations other than personal illness beyond the control of the teacher which would significantly impair teaching service. Deductions from the gross pay of a teacher for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken.
