Emergency Drills. Contractor personnel must become familiar with their prescribed assignments in an emergency and participate in drills conducted on CCI facilities, when requested.
Emergency Drills. The Board of Trustees requires emergency drills at least once each semester. Emergency procedures for leaving the classroom or building are posted in each room. Pupils should move quickly, quietly, and in an orderly manner to provide for the safety of the entire group. Lunch will be offered on a daily basis. Students may also bring lunch from home. The daily cost of a lunch is $5.00 (can be subject to change). Parents MUST prepay to their student’s MYCA account page for their student’s lunches or break. Students with no funds on their account will not be allowed to charge. Cash payment can not be taken in the cafeteria. As good stewards, students should assist in keeping the cafeteria clean and taking care of school property. Students are to sit on the table stools provided and not on the tabletops. All trash should be thrown in the trash bins. • Lunch and Break: Lunch and break will be offered in the cafeteria on a daily basis except during a half day schedule. Students may bring a sack lunch or snack from home provided it is eaten only in the cafeteria. • Food and Drinks: Food and drinks, other than water in clear containers, are to be consumed in the cafeteria only. Any food items or opened drinks outside of the cafeteria during school hours will be confiscated. • Gum and Candy: Gum chewing is not allowed at school. Candy may be consumed in the cafeteria only.

Emergency Drills. The school will conduct emergency drills of various nature in accordance with State law. Specific instructions on how to proceed will be provided to students by their teachers who will be responsible for safe, prompt, and orderly evacuation of the classroom/building. Evacuation plans will be posted in classrooms. Tornado drills will be conducted to make students aware of the safest location in case of severe weather. Students will also practice emergency procedures in the event an intruder enters the building. ▇▇▇▇▇ Center West Middle School has a standard grading procedure as well as additional notations that may indicate work in process or incomplete work. The purpose of a grade is to indicate the extent to which the student has acquired the necessary learning. In general, students are assigned grades based upon test results, homework, projects, and classroom participation. Each teacher may place a different emphasis on these areas in determining a grade and will so inform the students at the beginning of the course work. If a student is not sure how his/her grade will be determined, she should ask the teacher. Students transferring into ▇▇▇▇▇ Center will receive a credit for coursework that was credited to them at their previous school. Emergency Drills. All schools in the District shall conduct fire drills at least monthly. Tornado drills shall also be conducted not fewer than three (3) times per year with at least one each in the months of September, January, and February. Students who ride school buses shall also participate in emergency evacuation drills at least twice each year. The District shall annually conduct an active shooter drill and school safety assessment for all District schools in collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency management personnel. Students will be included in the drills to the extent that is appropriate to the age of both the student and grade configuration of the school. Drills may be conducted during the instructional day or during non-instructional time periods Other types of emergency drills may also be conducted to test the implementation of the District’s emergency plans in the event of an earthquake, terrorist attack that might include the use of biological or chemical agents. Students shall be included in the drills to the extent practicable. In the case of an actual emergency, the District Crisis Response Team will follow planned procedures for the safety and well-being of our students. Parents are encouraged NOT to come to the school or to tie up the phone lines by phoning in emergency situations. Rather, we would ask you to wait by your phone, listen to the radio, check our school Facebook pages, etc. for school-closing information, and allow the Crisis Response Team to contact you if the emergency has involved your child. .

Emergency Drills. Regular emergency preparedness drills will be held throughout the school year so that students and staff will be trained to act properly in an emergency. These drills will include fire, tornado, lockdown, and other crisis emergency drills. A comprehensive emergency preparedness plan is on file in the office. Students must follow their teachers' instructions and go to designated areas as quickly as possible. Students must not talk, run, or push during drills. A signal will be given for returning to class. A student who does not follow the safety rules will receive an office referral and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken. Students are expected to wear the TMSA uniform at all times and to dress and groom themselves in such a way as to reflect neatness, cleanliness, and safety. All students should dress appropriately so as not to disrupt or interfere with the educational program or the orderly operation of the school. The principal or other authorized school official shall determine whether any particular use of the school uniform is in violation of the spirit and/or the intent of this school uniform policy. Students and parents are expected to honor the uniform code so that valuable school time is not spent examining student attire to determine appropriateness. Students are not permitted to change out of their uniforms during or after school unless participating in an after school activity that requires non-uniform clothing. Emergency Drills. Fire: The State Fire Prevention Code and Archdiocesan insurance policy require a minimum of 10 fire drills per year. Students exit quietly to designated areas. Roll is then taken to assure that the building has been vacated. Tornado and other emergency drills, including lockdown and evacuation, are held periodically throughout the school year.
