Common use of Emergency Contract Clause in Contracts

Emergency Contract. Check this option when the Department has determined that an unforeseen crisis or incident has arisen which requires or mandates immediate purchases to avoid substantial harm to the functioning of government or the provision of necessary or mandated services or whenever the health, welfare or safety of clients or other persons or serious damage to property is threatened. Contract Employee. Check this option when the Department requires the performance of an Individual Contractor, and when the planned Contract performance with an Individual has been classified using the Employment Status Form (prior to the Contractor's selection) as work of a Contract Employee and not that of an Independent Contractor.
