Emergency Absence. In the event of a personal emergency, such as sudden notification of a serious family illness, which prevents the application for leave to be made in writing, the employee shall make every effort to personally advise the University, or shall have the University advised, of the reasons for an emergency absence, which the employee wishes to have treated as such leave.
Emergency Absence. 01. In the event of sudden illness, accident or other emergency, an employee absenting himself must contact the departmental xxxxxxx or leader on duty, either directly or through Security, as soon as possible. Bona fide cases of emergency will be treated as if permission had been sought in advance.
Emergency Absence. If an employee is unable to report for duty because of illness or another justifiable reason, that employee shall make one phone call notifying either the building principal or sub call-in service, at the District’s discretion no later than 6:00 a.m., unless an emergency arises and it is impossible for the employee to give such notice.
Emergency Absence. 1. Emergency Absence due to illness in family shall be at the discretion of the Superintendent who may allow up to one (1) day's absence without salary deduction. Leave (1 day per year) that is not used during the period of July 1 to June 30 during a given year shall be credited to cumulative sick leave for personal illness on July 1 of the following year.
Emergency Absence. At times it may be necessary for a bargaining unit member to request time off in order to take care of personal affairs that cannot be postponed. Such absences involve emergencies, business or family affairs, health needs, or crises.
Emergency Absence. Each employee shall be entitled to three (3) non- cumulative days of emergency absence per year for hardships or other pressing needs as may be granted in cases requiring absences during working hours for purposes other than provided in other sections under this article. Emergency absences may be granted to employees under the jurisdiction of this bargaining unit subject to the following conditions and procedures:
Emergency Absence. In the event of an emergency necessitating an absence, an employee may contact his/her supervisor or another member of administration the evening before or prior to 8:30 a.m. on the date of the absence to report the need for the absence. If the employee is unable to speak directly with the supervisor or other member of administration, the employee may leave a text/voice message and must follow up with the supervisor/member of administration as soon as possible. In emergency situations, the supervisor/administrator will notify the receptionist of the absence. If the emergency reporting procedures are not followed, the employee must follow the non-emergency reporting procedures.
Emergency Absence. Two (2) days per year of emergency absence shall be deducted from accumulated illness and injury benefits and may be granted when the following conditions exist:
Emergency Absence. In the event of an emergency absence of the collaborating physician, the designated covering physician for the practice will cover. In the absence of a Nurse Practitioner due to emergency, holiday, vacation, or educational session, the collaborating physician will arrange coverage.
