Eligible Educational Institution. An Eligible Educational Institution is an institution that is eligible to participate in federal student aid programs under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. Section 1088). These are generally any accredited college or university, including trade and technical schools, in the United States and abroad that participates in federal financial aid programs.
