Elementary Class Size. The District and the Association agree that class size will be maintained to meet the following standards:
Elementary Class Size. 38.1.1 Class size relief triggers for elementary are as follows: Kindergarten & Grade 1 22 or more Grades 2-3 24 or more Grades 4-5 28 or more
Elementary Class Size. With the exception of inclusion classes and special classes, elementary class size should be no larger than twenty-eight (28) students.
Elementary Class Size. The District and the Association recognize that 11 reasonable class size and workload should be attained for optimum learning. 12 Maximum learning efficiency occurs when the number of student contacts per 13 employee is kept at reasonable levels. Elementary Class Size. 6.6.1 The following instructional load standards are established except for traditional large group instruction classes, for which state standards are prescribed, and except when the District because of financial crisis (such as double levy failure, 5% decline in state class size funding for a specific grade as defined by OSPI, will result in an increase in the affected grade level by one student).
Elementary Class Size. Any regular elementary classroom in an elementary school that has one (1) or more students over the maximum enrollment specified in the School District Policy shall have a district employed aide or certified employee to assist at least one (1) hour per day per overload student enrolled.
Elementary Class Size. 1. When class size exceeds twenty eight (28) for K-2 classes and thirty (30) for 3-5 classes for ten (10) consecutive days, a one-half time classroom assistant will be provided upon request. When classes reach three (3) students above the class size limits for ten (10) consecutive days, a full-time classroom assistant will be provided upon request. Assistants will be certified teachers whenever possible. The teacher may choose to be paid ten dollars ($10) per day, per week, per student, in lieu of a classroom assistant after the extra student(s) has been in the class for ten (10) consecutive days to a maximum of thirty (30) dollars per student per week. When classes reach thirty-seven (37), the class will be divided into two (2) sections and a second teacher will be employed.
Elementary Class Size. Regular elementary classroom teachers shall have a limit of twenty-eight (28) students. Special area teachers shall have a limit of thirty-four (34) students per class. In the event that future budget cuts require the elimination of positions, the District and the Association will establish a memorandum of agreement that allows for elementary classes to exceed this limit in order to prevent staff reductions at other levels.
Elementary Class Size. If all sections in a grade level meet or exceed the maximum number of students by the end of the first full week of school, a section(s) will be added: Kindergarten 28 students Grades 4-5 31 students
Elementary Class Size. If all sections of a grade level exceed the maximum number of students, the affected teachers will be compensated at a rate of $5.00 per day, per student, over the maximum, for each day the maximum number of students is exceeded. The teacher shall be paid following the last day of school. Maximums are defined as: Kindergarten 28 students
