EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT LEAVE. Effective July 1, 2015 the Board approved the Educational Support Leave policy for University System of Georgia employees. The full text of BOR Policy 8.2.7, Leave can be accessed at the following link: xxxx://xxx.xxx.xxx/policymanual/section8/C224/#p8.2.7_leave The Policy provides that each full-time, non-temporary employee of the State of Georgia or of any board, branch, department, bureau or commission thereof shall be entitled to apply for up to eight hours of paid leave per calendar year for the purpose of promoting education in this state. Under this new law, paid leave will only be authorized for activities that are directly related to student achievement and academic support. Use of such leave for political purposes or agendas is prohibited. The revised policy reflects this change in state law. Activities that promote education in Georgia may include, but are not limited to, some of the following:  Attend Parent/Teacher conferences  Participate in classroom activities, such as reading to a class or presenting on career day  Tutor students without receiving compensation  Xxxxxxx examinations  Attend award and recognition ceremonies or graduation exercises  Participate in field day activities or chaperone field trips  Attend open house functions Each USG institution or office maintains the authority to determine, in accordance with the provisions outlined in this policy, whether an activity would qualify for education support leave.   • Paid Educational Leave a. An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.

  • Operational Support Systems <<customer_name>> shall pay charges for Operational Support Systems (OSS) as set forth in this Agreement in Attachment 1 and/or in Attachments 2, 3 and 5, as applicable.

  • Unpaid Educational Leave After one (1) year of continuous employment, permission shall be granted for leave of absence for a maximum of one (1) year without pay for study, without loss of accrued benefits.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Educational Leave of Absence Leaves of absence may be granted up to six (6) months under the above provisions only if the course would be beneficial to both the University and the employee.

  • Educational Services Any service or supply for education, training or retraining services or testing including: special education, remedial education; cognitive remediation; wilderness/outdoor treatment, therapy or adventure programs (whether or not the program is part of a Residential Treatment facility or otherwise licensed institution); job training or job hardening programs; educational services and schooling or any such related or similar program including therapeutic programs within a school setting.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW, effective from date of ratification and sent by the Company to the following address: CAW Paid Education Leave Program, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0.

  • Technical Support Services 2.1 The technical support services (the "Services"): Party A agrees to provide to Party B the relevant services requested by Party B, which are specified in Exhibit 1 attached hereto ("Exhibit 1").
