Common use of EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Clause in Contracts

EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. The City of Warwick agrees to allow at least four (4) members of the firefighting force (i.e. those employees assigned to actual fire fighting duties time off with pay to attend the National Fire Academy for a period not to exceed seven (7)days. The City of Warwick further agrees to grant each student that attends the National Fire Academy a sum of money to cover all fees, meals and travel expenses to and from the National Fire Academy. In any such case the total sum of One Thousand ($l,000.00) Dollars will not be exceeded for this program in any fiscal year. The mechanics of this program will be agreed to by representatives of Local 2748 and the City of Warwick.
