Common use of Education Incentive Clause in Contracts

Education Incentive. ‌ Eligible employees in the Unit shall receive a two percent (2%) of base salary for possession of an Associate Arts (A.A.) degree from an authorized educational institution. Eligible employees in the Unit shall receive a total of three percent (3%) of base salary for possession of a four-year college degree (Bachelor of Arts and/or Bachelor of Sciences degree) from an accredited University and/or College as recognized by the United States Department of Education for Post-Secondary Institutions and Programs and/or another authorized source as approved by the appointing authority in writing and submitted to Human Resources for verification. The educational incentive is not cumulative and the maximum educational incentive an eligible employee may receive is three percent (3%) (Bachelor’s Degree).
