Education Credits. Education Credits are sold on an Annual Subscription basis and are “purchase cards” that organizations can apply to other training, including a la carte courseware for individuals and onsite customer training for groups. Education Credits may not be applied to the purchase of Education Pass subscriptions.
Education Credits. A. Education credits will be granted for clock hours or credits from a four -year degree-granting institution or other SPI approved agencies and for courses taken at community colleges or classes accepted by SPI or SBE for college or clock hour credit. One-quarter hour of university credit shall be granted for each ten hours of class, workshop, or laboratory experience recognized by SPI or SBE for salary credit or clock hours.
Education Credits. Education credits will be granted for college work. College credits for advancement on the salary schedule will be accepted from a four-year-degree-granting institution. Credit for courses taken at community colleges shall be granted if in conformity with SPI regulations relating to state allocations.
Education Credits. Rules regarding education credits for placement on the Salary Schedule will be those used by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction for placement on the State Salary Schedule. Certificates, college transcripts, and required letters of substantiation from authorities involved must reach the District's Human Resources Office by October 15 to be applied to salary placement for the year, unless the employee's contract becomes effective after the first day of school, in which case the necessary documents shall reach the District's Human Resources Office within forty-five (45) days of the issue date of the contract.
Education Credits. 1. The District will accept salary adjustments under the SPI weighting formula interpretation as follows: All employees hired as of October 20, 1976 will be granted current educational credits as to placement on the salary schedule. For credits earned before September 1, 1995: Education credits will be given for salary advancement for college course work which meets at least one (1) of the following criteria:

Education credits will be granted for university and college work in a field related to the employee's work assignments earned subsequent to the Bachelor's (BA) Degree, provided that, any credits accepted by the office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) towards a continuing teacher certificate shall be granted towards salary schedule advancement. College credits for advancement on the salary schedule will be accepted from an accredited four-year-degree-granting institution, accredited universities, and for accredited community colleges, so long as they otherwise comply herewith. District approved in-service credits shall be applied regardless of degree status (but only to the extent such credits were earned after August 31, 1981). When in the sole judgment of the superintendent, there is a reasonable doubt as the relevance of the course work, a statement showing the relationship of the college or university work to the employee's work assignment(s) shall be required from the employee who is seeking advancement on the salary schedule. If in the judgment of the superintendent the course work as defined above is not substantially relevant, the credit for advancement shall be denied. Denial of acceptance of credit for salary advancement shall be subject to the grievance procedure set forth in this Agreement.
Education Credits. In the event that more than one individual employee has the same seniority ranking after applying the above provisions, all employees so affected shall participate in a drawing, by lot, to determine position on the seniority list. The Association and all employees so affected shall be notified in writing of the date, place and time of the drawing. The drawing shall be conducted openly and at a time and place which will allow affected employees and the Association to be in attendance.
Education Credits. The degree level and hours earned after the degree at the highest 48 placement level for each individual. Only credits applicable and accepted by the state 49 LEAP 1-R schedule are acceptable by the District. All years of service and educational 1 credits must be in accordance with WAC 392.121. 2 3 (e) Official transcripts must be on file in the Superintendent's office (Human Resources) before the 4 first working day in October to have the training increments counted and a salary change effected 5 that school year. In extenuating circumstances, the District will accept grade reports by October 1 6 pending the receipt of an official transcript no later than October 15. 7
